I’ve been hitting it regular and hard. I can see some PRs on the horizon!

There have been plenty of writings of friends and family not understanding someone’s drive to better themselves but it takes on a different meaning when confronted with it. I’m not sure if they intentionally mean to do it but to stay the course in the face of adversity is what defines people who succeed.
Cheers to all of those who have accomplished their goals despite others trying to derail them.
To all of those who would derail others from their goals… L my Bs

But, since the new year I’ve been hitting it hard and keeping to the diet (save that first weekend). I’m not craving anything yet…in fact I’m having dreams where my friends and family are eating pizza and I leave to get something healthy from down the street. I’m thinking that I’m mentally ready to get back into fighting shape. I know the toughest times are around week 4 so hopefully we’ll keep it going.
To all of those resolutioners, it’s a good thing but people will assume that you will quit within a month and a half. Just stay in the gym and you’re no longer a resolutioner…you’ve got a new lifestyle.

Well I was feeling strong today so I attempted 405 on the DL. I moved it about a foot then had to put it down as I was starting to feel my form go. Discouraging, but I’ll get it…and soon!

After my 12 week program, I took some time to enjoy food again. I went up around 5 or so lbs overall, since around 5 lbs I lost is due to water weight (on the June 4th weigh in). I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym and hitting it hard again. Overall I don’t think I’ve lost too much ground. Once I go back to eating clean and 3 to 4 days of cardio it should be a non-issue. My main push initially will be to get to the 315 "Benchmark" on flat bench. Although this is more of an ego issue (people don’t ask how much you Deadlift) I still need to be able to say 315, b/c I’m honest and say 285.
Strangely enough when I’m repping a weight say for 8 or more, using the 1 rep max calculator I’m stronger than I am when attempting the same weight it says I can push (If that makes any sense). Basically I’m stronger repping than maxing, I’m not sure why that is but it is (could be mental when attempting the big weights).
In any case It’s On Again!
