I have only had one experience with bison, and I found it dry and overly gamey tasting for me! But your blog has inspired me to give it another try.
It may have just been poorly prepared.

Bison is excellent! I have bison steaks or burgers 1-2 times each week. I get them my my local store. Bison tastes much better than hamburger, it is much leaner and flavorful and comes out great on my George Foreman Grill. I heard that Ostrich and Elk are good also but havn’t tried those yet.

Mmm, yes. I went to Ted’s a few months ago, sheerly for the bison. Loved the restaurant, and the burger. Can’t wait to have it again! And yes, it is dry, but I didn’t find it to be a bit gamey. I don’t like cow, but I love that bison!

Thanks maddi and everyone esle ,
when i was there ( at Teds ) last monday the burger was as moist as can be,
maybe it is just the way the cook does it at each location,
at my job we sell ground buffalo , but its 50 / 50 and with only 22 grams of protein per 4 ozs. trader joes is 43 grams per 5 oz.
peace and thanks2 all !!!!!!!

I remember paper straws. We used them all our childhood in Australia. They used to get a bit soggy after sipping for a while though. Shame i can’t eat at Ted’s
