I suggest you look into carb cycling. Going completely without carbs isn't healthy or sustainable as you note (imo). Carb cycling allows you to deplete carbs (like 3 days very low carbs--veggies only and one day good carbs--you know the list--oatmeal, yams, etc). Which restores carb levels so your brain and such can function and give you a bit more energy. Look into it. It worked for me. If you want to see my progress you can check my website www.size10chronicles.com. I post some of my meals and pictures of food on there.
Good luck and kick a** girl.

take a look at my bodyblog and you can see what i eat on a daily basis.

The only carbs that I take in are some green beans and some blueberries.

I do drink 2 protein shakes, eat a lot of tuna, canned chicken, chicken breats and had some salmon last night.

you can do it. It isnt that hard to go without carbs.

Metallica,
Thank you for your comment. I truely understand what you are saying and self thought definately has a profound impact on how I view cardio. I am making the effort to recognize how my own thoughts can either benefit or hinder my progress. Thanks for the reminder.

sound like you are on track...but the one issue that might hurt your workout is your mind set on cardio. you call it boring now and it is but that might affect how you do it down the road. get an ipod or mp3 player and crank up the tunes. get someone to do it with you or if you are doing it in the gym watch tv. anything to keep your mind occupied helps. just dont let your mind decide you dont want to do it because it is "boring". good luck

IT is like i just read my own blog. Your thoughts are like mine. The most important things we say are the things said to ourselves. We can make or break our own thoughts which lead to actions. Try waking up in the morning and telling yourself you CAN do this.. You know the old saying.. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.. and it is so true.. if you need some motivation, inspiration.. lets works off each other.. You said it yourself... eating good and working out feels so good... and for me sitting only makes me feel worse and have less energy. it is hard.. and i understand.. but YOU GOT THIS GIRL! You can do it!!!!! Stay Strong and keep positive thoughts!! :) Rock on!

Try switching your workouts to mornings, before work. I know what you're going to say......"I'm not a morning person" or "I can't get up that early", etc. Well I wasn't either, but I had no choice. Evenings are simply not an option for me, with kids, late evenings at work, other evening commitments, etc. So I learned to become a morning person. It's a choice. And......I get to go relax when I head home from work. Thank God I don't have to fight the desire to go relax, muster up the energy to hit the gym with the larger evening crowds, etc.

See my June 27 blog about "motivation", and the Sept 15 post about Food.....I hope they provide some help &amp; encouragement.
