Working out at World Gym back in about 1995, the bench I decided to use for declines was not very stable. So, as I mounted it with 60 pound D-bells, the world went "topsy-turvy" and I ended up laying on a D-bell with the bench caught around my legs. Luckily, didn’t hurt anything other than my pride! (But no, though I’ve worked out hard enough to puke, I’ve never had my muscles give out in the middle of a lift.)

I was benching in 2001 and didn’t have my thumb wrapped around the bar. Bonced off my chest before my spotter caught it. Scary! Now I think spotters are good but power racks better.

WELL GOOD IAM NOT THE ONLY ONE STILL TRIPPIN! LOL, I DIDNT GET HURT BUT THE 1ST THING I DID WAS GET UP AND LOOK TO SEE WHO SAW ME! LOL LUCKLY NO 1 DID OR AT LEAST ACTED LIKE THEY DID. THEY PROB WENT TO WORK AND HAD A FUNNY STORY TO TELL.

You are freaking huge, What do I have to do get on your level? I don’t know if my body will allow me to gain anymore weight. That or I’m doing something completely wrong. It doesn’t look like you really need a sponsor man.

  6. musqlure Says:

Well, I think the sponsorship isn’t to help Konkrete get bigger, it’s to help him support himself so he can devote himself completely to bodybuilding.

On that point, Konkrete, can’t you set up a PayPal account or something and have people contribute if they want? Just a suggestion.

Oh yeah, this has happened to me. After doing squats, presses, and extensions. I did triple drop sets of extensions and after the 3rd set I got off the machine and only managed 1 step before going down! LOL My partners were a little shocked.. I just laid there and laughed until I could stand again. :)

Never fell from lifting but I did run my ass right off the treadmill. After burning the crap out of my leg I just jumped up and kept running.

  9. moleasses Says:

Ive never fell but i seen a guy in the gym drop a 45 on his toe once. He always half reps every excerise, uses twice the weight he should and walks around like his the biggest man in the world. He hopped around cussed and im pretty sure he teared up alittle LMAO.

  10. NOVA9900 Says:

    Know the feeling!
At one of the gyms I went to they had the weights room upstairs. I just finished a leg work out and went to walk down the stairs, after a few steps I realised I couldn’t walk and was getting real wobbly!
I could see a big fall coming so I stopped and pretended I was watching something interesting on one of the big tv screens they had on the wall!
It’s always funny for some reason when someone falls, don’t know why but it is!

I havent fell but I poped a rib out benching! I always train alone and someone barged in the door. I was 19 and at the end of my pyramid bench routine. Had 315 on the bar, looked over mid rep and snap! I hadent a clue what happend. Before I could finish saying hello my right shoulder drew up and my head tilted right! I looked like I was on crack! LOL That was the longest drive to the chriopractor ever!

  12. brianmussack Says:

I never fell like that, but about 8 years ago I was on a flat bench (don’t remember the weight, wasn’t much, I’m sure) & I didn’t have a spotter. I tried to push for 1 more rep & my shoulder gave out! I couldn’t get that friggin’ bar off my chest to save my life! There was no one in my area & I wasn’t about to start yellin’ for help. So all I could do was roll the bar down my stomach, over my hips, over my legs & push it off of me. It hurt like a mutha, but no one saw me (atleast I think so). I had some crazy bruises all over the front of my body the next day! My wife saw me & was wondering what the heck happened. I reluctantly told her & she was laughing her butt off at me!

I’m a klutz. I trip on my D-bells like every day at the gym. However, I saw a guy in Gold’s (Bothell, WA) unload a leg press one side at a time. It was staked with weight, but once he unloaded about 8 plates for the left side only. The whole leg press machine toppled over. Luckily no one was crushed or even hurt. After seeing that, I still to this day unload all machines evenly, even if they are bolted to the floor.
