Man, am I outta shape!!!!!!!!

It’s me, BC Bound, eventhough I sometimes feel like I should change my name to, "Out in Limbo," because there has once again, been a change in plans. I’m not playing ball at the U this year, (you lucked out DBs,…..) But I’m still squeezing in a workout or two where I still can. I’ve been meeting with various scouts and coaches from my past, and they’ve been kind enough to give me some candid, evaluations of myself as a player and tips on what I need to focus on to get to the next level. The biggest thing was gaining some more weight, so this has been my main focus. I’ve even developed some new training programs, customized to myself, and what areas I feel I need to develop as far as my body is concerned.
So here’s my contingency strike plan:
1. From September-December 2007: My focus is more on the weight room, with me lifting more like a bodybuilder than a football player, with the main goal of this phase to be gaining weight, around 15-20lbs. This is really weird for me, as I’m now doing 20 sets per bodypart, and the PUMP is incredible! I did chest on Monday, and it felt like my chest had grown 10 inches around in size! I’m hoping that this will be just the adjustment that I need to get my muscles growing and putting on some quality mass.
2. November 2007: Shortly after Thanksgiving in the states, the Continental Indoor Football League is hosting tryouts for their teams. Barring any injury, I plan on going to one, and making a team. This will help in several different ways: (a) It can make a little extra cash to do a few important things, and (b) I can get some film and stats for this year to show to the CFL scouts.
3. January-April 2008: Combine/Tryout-specific Training, the tryouts for the CFL teams are usually from late March to May, so I’ll be trying to get in front of as many scouts as I can to show them what I can do. My goal here very simple: GET SIGNED!!!!!!
So there it is, a simple plan that can be executed if I just stick with the program. I’m also in the process of looking for an agent, so if anybody knows one, let me know….LOL!
Which brings me to last night’s workout. My new workout is featured in the, "My Workouts," section of my profile. Monday was Chest day which was done on Monday evening, Tuesday Back workout was completed and I went for a brisk jog during the evening to kinda get the endurance back up. I went for a while, but man, I can’t run like I used to. But I was definitely missing my iPod. (One day…..)
