Climbing Back: Day Two….

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Hey bodyspace,

Today was a great day! I felt a lot more fluid in my route-running, and catching the ball were great! I felt so confident and more-improved. The workouts in general are getting better, but I can definately tell that I need to keep climbing up the mountain. Until tomorrow, keep training, keep sweating, and keep dreaming…..

Climbing back: day One….

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Hey Bodyspace,

With this cold still affecting me some, (I’ve had a bad case of the chills and have been feeling pretty weak,) I’ve just been working on keeping myself physically active. I’ve been doing this mostly by doing some bodyweight exercises for upper-body and lunges and leg curls/extension for the lower-body. Today, I cranked out 300 push-ups. (Not bad for a guy battling a fever, eh?) but I must admit, they did leave me very drained. Hopefully, I’ll feel better tomorrow. But only time will tell…

After a long Hiatus…..

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

Hey Bodyspace! You miss me? LOL! It’s me giving you the skinny on what’s been going on with me, training-wise, and otherwise. Since my last post, I’ve had to overcome som serious mountians and obstacles to make it to where I am today, nothing new. But unfornately, something had to give, and this time, it was my training. I haven’t been working out regularly for about a month, partially due to a two-plus week long bout with pneumonia. (I know, how gets that in the summer, eh?) so now, I’m just climbing back up the hill again.

Today was my first real day of physical activity for about a month, going to practice and running routes. The mind has retained a lot from my private film sessions, but translating that to the field was another story. As one could expect, I was sluggish, and my cuts were unresponsive, not to mention that my hands were a little bit out of practice. But nonetheless, it felt great to be back. Great to be with my teamates, great to be back on campus, and great to be active.

Tomorrow’s my first real day back in the gym, and I’m sure it will not be anything stellar. But the important thing is, the fire still burns…..It just needed a little rekindling.

Until tomorrow bodyspace, keep your fires burning……
