New scale/New protein drink?

Got the new scale that measures bodyfat along with weight.  Don’t know if this is just a calculation based on the BMI index or whether it actually analyzes body fat percentage as it changes. Any ideas?  Also, the EAS myoplex shakes have changed the protein content from 42g to 25g?  WTH?  The price is the same with less protein, supposedly low-fat.  Anyway, enough beefing. Planning to do a cardio and detox week beginning Monday - no lifting. Having some leg/arm pain beyond what is expected.  Have made some new friends on the site that have been very encouraging and motivating.  Still on the quest to move forward…

I’ve found that my scale is not real reliable when it comes to the bodyfat %, but it is a good tool to gauge which way the bodyfat is going. If your scale is like mine, and if I understand the operation correctly, it actually uses an electrical impulse and essentially times how long it takes that pulse to get from one side of your body to another. The calculation though is based on certain presumptions about your bone mass based on height and your metabolism based on age. I find that my scale actually calculates higher than when I get tested through skin folds for some reason. But, have fun with it!
