Good week

Got all workouts in this week, except one cardio. Maybe on sunday. Didn’t do the 360 lb leg press, but did up it to 270 for the last 12.

Since being stalled so often in the last few weeks, I’m not sure what week of BFL I’m doing. My log file is on a hard drive that’s unavailble right now due to a computer malf. Anyway, Monday was a lower body workout day.  On my last set of leg press reps, the machine was busy, so I went to the free weight leg press, which was loaded to 360 lbs (definitely not my usual); finished the last 12 reps at the weight.  ‘Nuff said - did 50-min cardio this morning, but I am feeling it all! But, may do it again sometime…

Another full-body workout and cardio on Sat., since workouts stalled on Tuesday.  Extremely sore and lower back is aching. Arms, chest, legs are noticeably tighter; calves really tight. Mid-section:  still just out there. Thx to BS friends for the motivating and encouraging comments and check-ins. Still motivated!  Later…

Feeling better from the 2nd round of having a cold, not as bad as it was earlier this year. Weather back to 60s, plan to do outside cardio this afternoon. Did a full-body workout this early a.m. since I missed 3 days of workouts/cardio last week.  Weekend cheesecake was good, I mean not good - lol.  Back on a regular diet this morning. Arms, chest, legs are noticeably tighter; calves really tight. Mid-section:  just out there. Tried the bodygroomer shave gadget - itching like u know what (lol); stubble returning already - too much time involved for that. Thx to BS friends for the motivating and encouraging comments and check-ins. Helps to keep me focused more.  Later…

Going well, until…

Big weather change has me under with a cold and congestion again (went from 80 degrees to snowstorm in one day!).  Missed workouts since Thursday (a lower body and 2 cardios).  Eating has been better this week; tryna keep that going (no oreos and pizza next week).  Arms and chest are noticeably tighter. Tried the bodygroomer shave gadget - itching like u know what (lol). Did get some time to play around with some keyboards and music tracks.  Not getting any younger, so trying to find time to do what I want to do. Friends on the site are always motivating and encouraging. That is a big help, keeps me focused at least mentally.  Soon as I get over this mess, I’ll be back on the workouts. So much for the blogging update.  Enjoy the weekend!

Cardio Day

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Two days into this week and on target. Did HIIT cardio on treadmill, ab machine, elliptical and track walking. Monday was lower body and it went well. Motivated for Wednesday’s upper body workout.  Monday’s nutrition was 90% okay - that’s the one that needs much work.  Last week when traveling, I used the hotel pool to do some cardio; worked okay.  Looks like that may happen again this week on the road again…

Good news is:  workouts this week have been on target; eating has been better, but not totally clean.  Went to doc for check-up, BP was great. Bought a cheap suit at a size smaller than usual - fit well.  Bad news: gained 8 lbs - not sure if it’s muscle weight or not - most likely not, but some may be. So that means finding a weekly plan (from someone) that will promote weight loss. That’s difficult since I don’t like a lot of different foods. Any ideas accepted.  Meanwhile, I am motivated by my friends on BS who continue to progress as well as encourage me. So, it is what it is…time to go forth and claim success.

Finally got to the gym today - did an extensive whole body workout.  Hopefully the consistency will continue.  Being out for a week with extremely limited (as in one) workouts was not where I wanted or needed to be.  Spring is around the corner, gotta step it up.  Thx to all the BS friends for keeping me motivated! It really is encouraging.
