Hi everyone, the past couple days have been awesome!! The sun has been shining and its been perfect biking weather.
Yesterday I had a 4 hour bike ride followed by a 1 hour hike … my bike broke down and I had to hoof it back!!
Today I fixed the bike and went for a 2 hour ride.
Nutrition wise, things have gone well. I’ve been able to stay on track by consuming 6 meals throughout the day. I’ve been journalling my food intake in the Body For Life journal and I’ve been helping that it keeps me on track.

Hi everyone, today went quite well.
The weather was great so I went on a 4 hour long bike ride this afternoon. For the most part, it was more of a touring pace. While my Body for Life program called for a lower body weight workout, our vacation lasts until Friday so I’ll try and spend as much time outside as I can.
My nutrition was on track today. I ate 6 meals over the course of the day.
… until next time …

Hi everyone, today was quite a fun day. After an 18 hole round of mini-golf I was able to go for an hour and a half bike ride. I was biking at a more relaxed pace than usual as I’m fighting a cold. Unfortunately I forgot my camera … the mountains are quite an amazing sight
I did alright nutrition wise. When you’re on holidays its’ a bit harder to figure out exactly where your at. I was able to have 6 meals today.
Anyhoo, have a good one …

Hi everyone, today was an excellent day.
This morning I went to Ballys’ and had a workout which took a couple hours (including a warm-up bike ride, stretching, weights (1 h), abs (15 min) and cardio (20 min on the elliptical machine). Since it was a very windy day, my wife and I took the little guy to El Dorado park and flew his kite.
My nutrition was on track today. I spaced things out over 5 meals today.
Anyhoo, I should get going.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
This afternoon I was able to work out at Bally’s. I appreciated the opportunity and had a great leg & abs workout.
My nutrition was on track today. Its’ getting harder with all the tempting treats being passed around. Fortunately my family is being very supportive of my efforts.

Hi everyone, I had a great workout on Tuesday. I went for a 2h & 45 minute long bike ride to complete the cardio portion of the workout. I also walked to the flower shop (~15 minutes away) to buy my wife a boquet of roses.
My nutrition was on track. Hopefully I can stay on track over the next few days as the holiday season progresses.

Hi everyone. I haven’t been blogging regularly as we travelled to Los Angeles to spend the Christmas season for the next couple weeks.
I’ve been able to stick within my nutrition guidelines and complete my workouts over the period. My wife and family have been extremely supportive by ensuring that I have places to go workout.
Anyhoo, I should get going …

Hi everyone, I wasn’t able to update Day 34 as I didn’t get home until well after bedtime!! My plane was late so I wasn’t able to complete my workout.
Even though it was a business trip I was able to follow my eating plan and was quite happy about that. I won’t be able to update my progress for a few days while we travel to the inlaws. I was reading my BFL goals to remind myself not to "Blow it" over the Christmas season.
I’ve also attached a spreadsheet I developed to track my nutritional intake and energy expenditure. I’ve found it correlates well with the results I’ve obtained. Energy Balance Tracker

Hi everyone, today was a great day. Despite a traffic jam, I was able to get to my boy’s Christmas concert. I walked through the gymnasium door as his class walked onto the stage. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
My evening workout consisted of 28 minutes on the elliptical machine.
My nutrition was good as well. (2444 cal, 1.25 g/kg protein, 4.63 g/kg carbs, 38 g fibre & 17.5% fat).
Next up, Day 34!!

Hi everyone, today was an excellent day.
I completed my upper body workout (Chest, shoulders, back, triceps & biceps) using the equipment I have at home. (Sets - 35, Reps - 416, Volume - 19, 275 lb)
We had a luncheon at work. I ate in moderation so I essentially achieved my nutritional goals for the day. My goal for the holiday season is not to lose the gains I’ve made over the next couple / few weeks.
Anyhoo, until next time …
