Hi everyone,
Its been awhile since I last posted so I thought I’d give a quick summary:
Day 43: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps - My nutrition was on track (2750 cal) however I didn’t complete my workout. I had the seasonal influenza shot so my left shoulder just wasn’t quite up to it. In fact I moved a piece of furniture so my boy could get a toy that went behind it. Just moving that piece of furniture left my shoulder throbbing!!
Day 44: Plyometrics - I didn’t have any residual effects from the flu shot so I was able to complete that workout. I went out in the evening and managed to keep my nutrition for the day following my plan (~3200 cal).
Day 45: Back, Biceps & AB Ripper X - I completed the workout and my nutrition was on track (1720 cal).
Day 46: Cardio - I completed 40 minutes on the elliptical machine while watching the Cowboys finish off the Falcons. My nutrition was on track with me consuming 6 small meals totalling 1740 cal.
I still feel energized and very positive about this program.
Anyhoo, I should get going …

Hi everyone,
Today went quite well. My nutrition was where it should be (2080 cal) and I was able to complete my workout on the elliptical machine for a half hour while watching the hockey game. Incidentally, my team (Montreal Canadiens) won in a shoot out!!
I hope tomorrow goes well. Its’ currently raining outside with it falling below freezing overnight. I really don’t like this time of year as it tends to get quite slippery …

Hi everyone,
Today was great on all fronts. My nutrition was on target (2630 cal). Thankfully tomorrow is my last Thanksgiving turkey lunch.
I like turkey, but just not day, after day, after day …
On the workout front, I feel like I was able to turn up the intensity. I’m wiped!!
It amazed me how hard I was able to push myself.
Yesterday I posted my progress pictures. While I like to be able to see my progress, it reminds me just how much further I have to go.

Hi everyone,
Not too much to report today. My nutrition was on track (2110 cal) and I completed my workout. I chose to spend 35 minutes on the elliptical machine as opposed to attempt yoga.
This Friday should be interesting. I have a couple opportunities to go out and be exposed to all the "bad" foods that I’ve been working hard to avoid. I hope that I can enjoy the event and a sampling of the foods I enjoy without going way, way overboard. For me it usually starts with 1 beer, then 2, then … next thing you know I need chicken wings, nachos and pizza!! What do you typically do to manage these situations?? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi everyone,
My nutrition was on track today (2060 cal). I’m happy that I’ve been able to maintain my target caloric intake on the weekends of late. In the past I was ~500 cal under target each day during the weekend. I’ve found that I’m better able to hang on to my muscle mass while losing weight. I also found that I’m now at 199 lb; a 6 lb loss since I started this adventure 5 weeks ago!!
I was able to complete my workout this afternoon. I find that I’m getting much better with the AB Ripper X component compared to when I first started. Quite a number of people on BB.com are motivating me to keep trying my best … Thank You.

Hi everyone,
Today was awesome. My nutrition was on target (2280 cal). I was able to space things out relatively equally over 6 small meals. Tonight my family had pizza but I was able to make the difficult choice to have left over Thanksgiving turkey and vegetables for supper. I like turkey, but after having it for lunch and supper the past 5 days I’m ready for it to be done!!
This evening I completed 30 minutes of plyometrics followed by another 20 minutes on the elliptical machine while watching "Flash Point". I truly felt energized by that workout.

Hi everyone,
My nutrition was on track today (2410 cal). The life style has become a habit and staying on track feels much easier than it has ever been. However I know I have to continue to be diligent as its’ easy to slip back into my old habits.
My workout went quite well. I was able to complete the majority of my exercises except for the one arm push-ups. Hopefully I can progress to the point of being able to at least do a few by the end of Phase 3.

Hi everyone,
Today was my recovery day. My high of the day occurred when I stepped on the scale this morning and found that I had lost 1% bodyfat while my weight stayed essentially the same.
My nutrition was on track with me consuming 2650 cal while managing to consume 6 small meals over the course of the day. Even though it was my recovery day, I didn’t feel like having a cheat meal … very wierd!!

Hi everyone,
I pushed myself while doing cardio on the elliptical machine for 35 minutes while watching the "Biggest Loser". I was able to keep my heart rate within the targeted range using my heart rate monitor. I’ve been chosing to replace the Kenpo X workout with regular cardio.
My calorie consumption was on target (2280 cal). I need to alter my diet to be consuming additional carbs to be consistent with the program.
Anyhoo, I should get going …
