And today…

Crap! I have an old 1968 or whatever suburban. It’s old and crotchety. She is a cold blooded beast and her choke broke the other day. We haven’t been able to get it fixed as of yet, ya know, all with our busy lives. Anyway, I go out this mornin to go to the gym to get my cardio on and she wouldn’t start.
Crap…I sat there for 20 min. trying to get that ol beast to start. Cursing the whole time. So I thought, I can’t stand one neighbor, the other is gone. My mother-in-law would loan me her car, but she would have to drive over here, pick me up, I’d have to take her home and then go to the gym and then pick her up so she could take me home. NO WAY…wait! I have a bike, the weather isn’t that bad.
So that’s what I did today for cardio, I went on a 12 mile ride, the sun came out, it was warm and it smelled SO nice out. I got to ride along the river, smell the flowers, feel my legs scream at me from our lift yesturday.
All in all, I’m glad the truck didn’t start. I had a great ride, and I feel really good. Don’t forget that the gym isn’t the only place you can get your cardio.

This is pretty stright forward…I do…
3 different leg curls @ 100-120 pounds, 4 sets of 10
Squats @ 250-300 pounds, 3 set of 10, 1 set of 10/15 light
The Slider, pyramid 90,180,270,360 reps of 8-10
Calfs with the slider
Calfs on the donkey, 100,150,200 sets of 3-5 reps of 12-15
Pliea squats 90 pounds sets of 4 @ 10
Glute raises on the ball with 35-45 pounds on my chest, sets of 4 @ 10

 

My booty is sore as ALL get out today!!

Let’s see, I left off with Back, so I missed a day…oh, shoulders were yesturday.

 Arnies @ 25/30 lbs 4x,
Shrugs 55,60,65,70 4x, military 95,115 4x, 
BOBS, killer killer killer, I did those last,
front and side raises 20,25 lbs 4x
Side cable 20,30 4x

TODAY was Bis and Tris…

Yea Baby! My arms STILL hurt!

Standing dumb bell curls 30,35,40 4x
Outward curls 55 4x
Incline curls 20 4x
One handed Preacher 20,25 4x 
Cable curls 40,50,60,50 4x
Hammers 30,35 4x

Tris–> Across the face hammers 20,25,30,35 4x
Standing presses, behind the head 35,40,45,50 4x
Cable presses 40,50,60 4x

Back yesturday

Owwe, I am sore. I had to take today off.

So the BACK, I started off with different exercises and I think that is why I am SO sore. SHOCK.
  I have also upped my sets from 3 to 4 and they range between 8-10 reps.
  I started with Side lat pull across’s, with a cable, 40 pounds. Front lat pull downs, with 100 pounds. Bent over barbell rows, 95 lbs, 3 sets of 10, 115, 1 set or 10.
   Bent low cable rows, 2@70 and pryamid from 100,110,120 sets of 10
   Bent over dumb bell rows, gorilla stance, 70,75 and one @ 80 sets of 8-10….WOOOOF
   Pull ups wide and narrow, I think that’s it.
   Cardio for 25 min and abs for 20
  I have also been making it a priority to get to the gym early for cardio, I make sure this gets done every day!!

Well, I did those "Around the Worlds" and DAHHHMN, they work really really well. They had me hoppen up and down when I was done, I can still feel the burn from them!

So, here is how the workout went.
    Around the Worlds–> 4 sets/8-10 reps…  I just started these so I only did 15 lbs, that was enough!
    Dumb Bell Flat bench, pyramidding up, 40, 45, 50 lbs 4 sets/8-10 reps
    Flat bench flyes, 4 sets 8-10 reps 27.5 - 25 lbs
    Incline Dumb Bells, 4 set, 8-10 reps, pyramid–> 40,45,50 lbs.
    Incline Flyes 4 sets, 8-10 reps, 25/30 lbs.  ** I started this new thing and it seems to really work, ITS HARD! When bringing the flye back up, twist the weights together, squeezing the very center of the chest. WOW***
    Decline Dumb Bells, 4 sets, 8-10 reps, pyramid–> 30,45,50,30 lbs.  INTENSE
    Some cable flyes, dips 30 mins on the stair stepper and about 20 min on ABS, woooof!

When I first started I was down in thelow hundreds. 135 was my bench, after 3 months I am benching 205 lbs in reps of 5. i have a pretty intense workout, more so than others I think. Today I am trying something new, Around the Worlds, Cable cross overs, Flat bench cable flyes Incline cable flyes, push up (wide and close), Elevated pushups and Ball push ups.

  No bench today for me, I need to change my routine around for some shock in the mucsles. Hopefully I like this new routine enough to stick with for 2 or 3 weeks? We’ll see how today goes.
