The mind, the most powerful tool.

Today I was reading through one of my boyfriends old issues of Musclemag International Magazine- The Arnold Special Collector’s Issue #298. I sometimes just flip through the pages and read a couple of articles and examine the pictures but this one I read from cover to cover! It was so inspirational and eye-opening that I couldn’t put it down!

I would recommend it to everyone as their new inspirational bible. I gathered some bits and pieces from his article "Mind Over Matter" and wanted to post them here for those who may be needing a extra push… We all do at one time or another, but trust me… order this back issue NOW!

Go to www.emusclemag.com Issue #298

Here’s some of my favorite passages..

“I am convinced that you become what you think about most. Dwell on the negative thoughts and you fail. Dwell on positive thoughts and you succeed. I hear some people lamenting “Oh, I can’t lost 20 pounds and develop good abs,” or “I can’t gain 25 pounds and get the mass I need to win such and such contest.” I would hate to be that weak minded, to have so little confidence in my ability to achieve my goals…. I simply had faith in my ability to control my body. Whether you train with weights to become Mr. or Ms. Olympia, or just shed some body fat, build muscle and have twice the usable strength of the average person on the street, either is a noble cause. Do not let people tell you any different. Your competition is yourself, not other people. You must constantly better yourself. You must always strive to improve yourself mentally, physically and intellectually. Success in bodybuilding can teach you to become successful in anything you want in life. You can have it all if you want it badly enough.”

CONCEIVE AND BELIEVE AND YOU WILL ACHIEVE.

Happy training to you,

Ashley

Good passage. Its true that thinking positive does really help, but most people forget about this and give up on themselves far too easily. Everyone needs to read this article and apply it to their lives. Great post.

It’s a proven fact over and over…..We (WE) are the greatest deterent to our success! Think you can’t….you can’t….As my Mom used to always say to me and as I now (oddly) tell my son’s…."Can’t never did anything!" Belief: just say yes!
