The expo is crowded and there is much energy in the air. Over 300 press passes was handed out this year so you can imagine I have many people around me.

The 21st Arnold Classic will be webcast live from Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Columbus, Ohio. You can watch the Ms. International, Fitness International & Figure International starting with pre-show action at 6:30 p.m and competition at 7:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 6th.

“Well this week on Living Beautiful Radio with of course, myself and Dr. Navarro, we did our annual Arnold Predictions for the women’s Figure, Fitness and Bodybuilding. Joining us was Ruth Silverman of Ironman Magazine who is our official contest correspondent. She is always a bunch of laughs and when the 3 of us get together to discuss the business of fitness… well it’s very much like “The View”. Dr. Navarro tends to put things more mildly but Dr. Ruth and I…we just like to tell it how it is. None the less, we seem to have the same opinion on who will most likely place where.
We did agree that for Figure, Gina Aliotti would keep her title. In fitness, with both Adela Garcia and Kim Klein out of the equation we agreed, “who would be crazy enough to bet against our girl Jen Hendershott???”. Lastly for women’s bodybuilding… we think Iris will do it like she normally does.
To listen to all our predictions, the show replays are now available online at www.LivingBeautifulRadio.com. You can even podcast this episode and other past shows to your IPOD and listen while you work out. The show is available now for replay or download.
So the Arnold starts this Thursday March 5 with the amateurs. Dr. Navarro and I will be running around getting official statements and comments from the ladies. On Friday you will find me at the women’s prejudging at the expo which starts at 12 noon. We will indeed be sitting with Ruth Silverman and we always find it interesting to see how close we were in our predictions. Sometimes, something completely off the wall happens and we sit and look at each other like “what the hell…” and then we laugh at ourselves!
On Saturday I will be joining Ruth for her post video wrap up of the women that she does for Ironman. You will be able to watch that on www.ironmanmagazine.com shortly after the weekend. And you know Ruthie and I will always give you the goods like it went down… and leave you with some entertaining lava!

I asked Debi how she was feeling about the Arnold and this is the email I received from her.
“Hi Dean, No problem….I am excited to be a part of this spectacular event, the Ms. International 2009 and with the level of competitors, it is an honor to be on stage with them. I have given this preparation my all and anticipate the return of a new improved physique! I want to thank all of my fans and supporters, I will make you all proud!!!”

Here is what Betty Pariso is feeling with only a few weeks left til the Arnold.
"The Arnold weekend holds a special place in my heart since this will be my 12th invite and participation as a Ms. International competitor. I attended the Arnold years ago as a spectator when there were only about 30 vendors…it’s pretty amazing to see how things have grown.
The privilege of getting an invite to the Arnold never gets old! Each year I start my preparation months out and wait with anticipation for the hopeful invitation. Even though I’m considered a "veteran" in our sport…I never feel like one as I prepare or get on stage.
 Betty at the 2008 OlympiaI’ve been told I’m somewhat different from other competitors. My contest prep is always pretty steady. Although bodybuilding requires a decent amount of time, I have many other obligations that do not allow me to become consumed with preparation. I have a realistic view of bodybuilding, and the role that it plays in my life…it’s a hobby. Bodybuilding has to fit into my life…not the other way around. The more important things in my life are my family, precious grandson, our business, and friends. And, we like to enjoy life and have fun. I work hard to make sure that everything stays balanced even during the hardest contest preparation."

Here is what Brenda had to say about the upcoming Arnold.
“Hi Dean,
All I know is the competition is always tough but the #1 competition is myself. If I don`t beat myself, I`ll do well. I`ve got a 3rd eye looking at me to make sure I`m on track. I`ve won the lightweight class twice before but since there are no more weight classes I want to break the top 3.”
