A Dressing Tip For The Arnold Classic
I have been to the Arnold 2 years in a row and I always see the same thing…
Guys that work out in the gym get all pumped and walk around in the Expo with their shirts off, or a shirt that’s too small.
In their minds, they’re thinking they are swole and large as life - until that one of two crippling moments for the ego happens:
- You walk past a pro bodybuilder with his shirt off and you feel belittled.
- You walk past a woman whose arms are bigger than yours.
And for the ladies, don’t be wearing those small tshirts with a pudge in the front thinking you are looking in shape, ’cause there will be pro models and pro figure women there as well!

Wish I could go to the Arnold just to see how many people take your advice. If I went I would wear a snowsuit. Classic blog and bad ass physique.

I went to the first few and would definitely recommend long sleeves for my fellow stick man brethren. Plus it’s cooooold in Columbus. Black leather jackets rule!

Good post! Think of going to a football game…you might wear your team’s jersey, but most normal folks don’t wear shoulder pads, helmets, etc. to the game.

Good one!! I was just asking a friend if they had a coat check-in at the facility b/c I noticed alot of ppl walking around naked from the pics I’ve seen…of course the booth workers and pros will be looking great…but I have no business showing my abs right now….plus it’ll be freezing outside!

Nuts. I was planning on wearing a too small tank with my elbows way out to show off my awesome lats. I was also going to carry around a plastic tub of tuna and brown rice so everyone would think my love handles are really well developed obliques. You’ve ruined my weekend.

@delusional: lmao
"Invisi-lats" is what I call them. I walked around high school looking like a gunslinger. Had to show off my 10-inch pythons (cough) and my tremendous (and, unfortunately imaginary) lats!

Never noticed guys going shirtless…but lots in tank tops that shouldnt… just dress normal, wear a BB.com T-shirt or something normal and jeans…cant go wrong.
Ladies…well you have better fashion sense normally then us men, I’ve only seen a few at the Arnold dressing weird….other then the girls who work the booths who are often naked or nearly naked, but hey that is fine by me!

Still waiting on the dressing tip.
The expo will be extremely crowded and very hot inside. Tip: I would recc. short sleeve shirts for everyone. Whether spandex or cotton, whatever floats your boat. The ambience is so motivating and inspiring, that you can wear just about anything and feel good in it. Just wear something you think you look good in just like everyone else will be doing. As for me, I will be wearing one of those small tight fitting t-shorts and I know I will be looking good.
C-Ya there!
