DOWN BECAUSE OF SOMEONE ELSE
i feel like the biggest shit bag because of my chain of command, for those who dont know in the army you take a physical fitness test and you pass or fail there is no gray section. Well there supose to give you a warning (well not so much a warning) they just tell you ahead of time so you wont do what i did and end up failing your test, normaly the warning is 12-24 hrs in advance as for me it was 5 1/2 hrs notice. Well like i said i got a 5 1/2 hr warning right after i got to my room from the gym i just ran 4 miles and mucle failer on chest abs and shoulders i was beat and soaked from head to to and this is how they gave me the notice " hey ramirez wow looks like you killed your self at the gym o well just wanna tell you to be at the gym at 430 for you pt test hope your ready". Man i was so pissed i even asked what happend to the 12-24 hr notice and his excuse was o well it just came up, up till this point in my carear in the army i have had no less then a weeks notice for a pt test. Needless to say after this pt test im beeing treated as the biggest shit bag in the compiny, i hit the gym almost every day and all of a suddin they want someone to go with me beacuse it makes no since to them why if im gong to the gym i would fail a pt test. What gets me the most is i go and run 4 miles or more and i have my sgt’s telling well if you realy run that much you could be ok to take a pt test, then the person they got to go to the gym with me is someone who is a constant pt test failer who just barly passed barly passed i mean by minimal standerds. I told my sgt that im gonna quit gong to the gym beacuse i dont wanna be supprised with a pt test he laughed and said well you dont need to stop IF you realy are gong to the gym….. i need some encouragement or something beacuse im not getting it here i just wanna quit, this is the first pt test i have ever faild…..

JK, you need to really explain to them why you failed and ask to take it again as soon as you can and prove yourself. My best army run time was 10:30 and could have done better had I not been trying to keep my friend going. Beat that=P…good luck!

You can look at it this way….you workout everyday anyway, now you have some one you can possibly help/inspire. You know that you could pass the test under the right circumstances…don’t let others’ wrong doing make YOU feel bad. If it were me, my only concern would be how it affects my personnel file. If it doesn’t; shake it off and continue doing what you do. If it does affect your record do as adguy says and ask to retake it.

Don’t take that shit to heart bro. By regulation you have to retake it in the next 3 months, however you can request to take it at any time. You may free like hammered shit now, but dust that off your shoulder man. Nobody is gonna judge you based on this. So you are flagged…no big deal. Unless you have to have this to be promoted it is no biggie and even so you can simply retake it. just coordinate it with your chain of command, and it will all be gravy. The same exact thing happened to me when i was in mosul about a year ago. I just got done doing chest and had about a 6 hr notice. Needless to say, i failed it by like 3 PU’s. I went back one week later and scored a 334 on it. Keep your head up bro. Play their lil game for a week or to and prove to them that you can smash this thing!!!

damn 10:30 hm… a new goal lol you know all this is right but it still erks me i guess i have to step it up now. anyone got a good diet or meal plan to do while deployed and always on mission thats my biggest thing i miss sometimes all three meals and the "field chow" isn’t the healthiest. o yea sauceman187 the pt test consists of how many pushups sit ups you can do in 2 min and a 2 mile run for my age group its verry easy i mean 2 munits to do 43 push ups 51 sit up and 2 miles in 16:30 normaly i max my sit ups and i normaly do a 2 mile in like 14:40 i guess if i try harder i could do a lot better on the run and push ups are my weak point i normaly do 65% in that event not sure why. but to let you all know how i did this time o man i is crap and embarrassing i did 11 push ups 21 sit ups and 22min 2 mile by the time i was done with the 2 mile i couldnt even do an airborne shuffle to finish i was barly speed walking my legs hurt so bad , when i say i killed my self in the gym i mean it. well if you got any good ideas for anything that might help me let me knwo
