WEDNESDAY….YIPPEEEE!!!!!

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Why does Wednesday get me so happy you ask? Well, let me tell you! I am going to the doctor today and he WILL clear me to go about my business! Ya’ll know what that means…BACK TO THE GYM TONIGHT! I can’t even begin to tell you how sore I am going to be tomorrow, maybe I should take it easy. No probably not, it has been 6 freakin’ weeks and I think everything has shrunk about 50%. It will be interesting to see what weight I am able to push! I feel giddy, kind of like a kid.

I will definitely post about my workout tomorrow! Also, I will post about my ephiphany I had a couple of nights ago. This is huge for me…stay tuned!

Until later…Jay

My ever stressful life…

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Well, I need to update my blog! First I need to figure out what I need and want to share with everyone! My life seems to be going in a slow downward spiral and there is nothing I can do to stop it. The spiral is not in my control. It is really f$#king with me. I am going to take some time tonight and I will try to post early tomorrow.

   Until then…Jay

Eye, injury and lack of workout update

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Went to the doctor about my Refractive surgery yesterday. Seems everything is healing well. Except my cells are not speaking currently…let me explain. Apparently after having PRK (instead of cutting your lens, they polish it) when your epithelial layer is regenerating, it does so from the outside of the eye to the center. When my layers met in the middle of my eye, they overlapped slightly. It is not uncommon, but it does make your eye feel like there is a scratch on it. It is slightly painful and horribly annoying. I asked if this was normal and would correct itself, my eye doctor told me it would correct itself once "my cells started talking". Really? Talking cells? Man, that makes me want to go to Ophthamology School. He also told me that once my cells started talking to each other, the layer that has grown over the other will "schluff" (sp?) off.  Anyway, he said I should be 20/20 in about a month.

I get to go see my Orthepedic doctor about my elbow on the 1st. Hopefully he will give me the green light to get back into the gym and get back at it. Elbow seems fine, I have found out that I have another injury in my left wrist that was hidden until recently. I am only assuming that it from the fall as well. I can’t support my weight on my left wrist (i.e. doing push ups). I will get that looked at when I go back. So we’ll see and hope for the best.

Finally, let me talk a moment about my weight loss. My profile page said my starting weight is listed as 280 pounds. That could be wrong, it realistically be closer to 300 pounds. I never stepped on a scale at that point in  my life…to scary. Anyway, I am now at 205 and feel pretty good. I have some skin issues that I already covered, so we’ll have to see about that later. I do look forward to actually gaining some weight…lean muscle mass weight that is! Hopefully after the 1st, I will be able to get on that path.

Well, my eyes are driving me crazy…must get off the computer. Thanks for listening and all of your support!

    Until next time…Jay

Refractive Eye Surgery

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Well, this past Wednesday I had PRK on both of my eyes. I am struggling as I type this to see what I am typing. My vision comes and goes, mostly it is just blurry. I went yesterday for my one day post op follow up and the Dr. said everything is going well. My vision was 20/35 yesterday and I was told it will probably get worse over the next few days before it starts getting better.

So again, I am barred from working out…even if my elbow was healed. It’s all good though, I am so stoked about not needed glasses that this minor inconvenience is well worth the slight discomfort I am going through.

The procedure was pretty cool, once my visions stabilizes, I will blog about it in detail. It was extremely quick and painless. Well, I must go and put in some re-wetting drops.

Until next time…Jay

Random thoughts for Sunday…

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

First…I can’t believe Chuck got knocked out! I mean I like Rashad and all (except that he went to Michigan State), but man, it’s the iceman, he is supposed to be the one who knocks people out. That punch was the same as the one that Rampage knocked Chuck out with. Rich Franklin won…did ya’ll see the size of the gash over his right eye!!!? Okay, I’ll stop.

I found that I have an issue now that I have lost all of my weight…loose skin. It’s not a lot, but it is enough to keep the shirt from EVER coming off in public. It really bugs the crap out of me…knowing how hard I have worked to get the fat off, only to be left with skin that makes me look fat still. Well, can’t really complain, it was me that put my body in that position. I will just have to deal with it.

On a better note, I am going to see my Orthopedic doctor on Tuesday, hopefully he will give me the green light to start lifting again. I am excited because I mostly have been just doing cardio. I have lost some size and I am sure tons of strength. It’s all good, I’ll just be glad to get back into it and start packing on size!

Until next time….Jay
