I didn’t pass out…
I tried something out this morning to see if it really works…cardio on an empty stomach.
The whole idea of it has always seemed crazy to me…your body has had NO fuel for 10 hours or so, and then you want to go and push it further by making it do cardio…seems like your blood sugar and energy would be too low to get much out of it without eating first…but according to some "ripped" bodies around this site, it is a secret trick to burn more fat…
Despite that, I never wanted to try it because I always believed you are supposed to EAT soon after waking to keep the metabolism from slowing down..but out of curiousity I decided to try it out today. Well, I didn’t do it on a completely empty stomach, I had some SUperpump250 or I wouldn’t have gotten myself out the door without eating!
I was able to run for 40 mins, and I didn’t pass out!…now lets see if this way works better!

Did you feel a lot more sluggish during the workout, or did your energy go up once you started?

I have done cardio both ways. They both work, but you will probably see faster results doing fasted state cardio.
Since I tend to do my cardio after lifting weights (and lately in between sets of weights), I haven’t done the fasted state cardio in a while. There is no way I can lift weights without fueling my body first!

led: I felt ok during it, the Superpump probably is what made the difference, without it, I’m not sure if I would have had the energy!
fit: as I was running I was thinking that same thing-no way could I lift weights without food first!

Let’s hear it for a good night’s sleep. Insomnia sucks, stinks, etc. Hit me hard after about 1:30pm this aftn. Not feeling so good.
I hit the gym both ways. Sometimes fasted, sometimes with a protein shake beforehand.

I’m glad you didn’t pass out LOL- the trick is not to go too crazy with the intensity on an empty stomach. I don’t believe in doing super low intensity either-moderate is good
It’s porbably going to do wonders for you to shock your system!

I’ve done it both ways. I much prefer not doing it at all, but fasted does work.
Take some BCAA’s before and during (Scivation Xtend for example) to prevent catabolism of muscle tissue.

Good luck in your experiment! If anything just the change will do something!
