Supermatch Will (Armbender) vs Artie MacMaster

I finally have a supermatch with one of the most dominating lightweights in Canada…I have been in Armwretsling for over 5 years now and finally got my 1st and only right handed win against Artie in Sept 2007 at the Canadian Nationals…H has lost the intimidation factor on me now with that 1st big win…He is an extremely strong and smart puller who now outweighs me by 20lbs….There is no date set yet but my training will begin tomorrow…The match will b 6 straight matches with a 1 min rest between each one. If there is a slip out it will automatically go to the straps…

 

I am really excited and motivated to win this challenge which will prove to be my toughest….

Tournement Jan 19th

First tournement of the year and very excited…My training is coming along great and I am at my heaviest weight right now…I feel confident that I can win the newly introduced Elite class….Ive been training for a super match on this date which was canceled allowing me to compete in the open class so my strength and readiness is top notch…we will see on Sat

Sequence of Exercises

I am trying something different this year with my work-out schedule. I am numbering each one of my exercises on a template. On week one, I start my routine out with exercise #1. Then the second week, I start with exercise #2 and so on. I started this at the end of November 2007 and I am really enjoying it. I hit gains with each workout every week. Its a surprise as apposed to a monatenous work-out now so my motivation level is higher. I think I will maintain this type of routine for the next couple of months and then I will switch the intensity level of each work-out but maintain the sequential order of my exercises.

Shoveling snow a Work-Out?

I just shoveled snow for 6 days straight. I think I am more sore this week than one of my tough work-out weeks. Its a full body work-out from legs to back, arms, shoulders and abs. I think I might take next week off and just armwrestle. I hate this weather cause it takes away from me completing a work-out at 100%.

 Can’t wait for spring!

Awesome training day! Biceps were on fire. I didn’t expect much do to a concussion on Saturday but I pulled through with my sights on another challenge match victory Monday Dec. 10th. This will be the toughest much to date and I needed a good motivational work-out today….

Training Downfall

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Suffered a minor Concussion and severe whip lash on Saturday. Looks like I will be missing armwrestling practice tonight. Not good due to a major super match next Monday. I hope I can push through this and hit the gym tomorrow

WORK-OUTS

Oh my god I’m sore. Just trained legs on Friday for the 1st time in my life in order to move up a weight class and hopefully gain some upper body strength…Completed Squats, Deadlifts and PowerCleans 5×5..Feels like someone took a baseball bat to my whole body!!!!

WOW, what a great training session. My left wrist felt amayzing…best sor far…have to lay off the grippers for a little due to elbow pain;..have to included more extensor work..need some more work on my hook before my next supermatch….

practice was great. ny stamina was awesome as usual. trained with a hook set-up to prepare for my next super match. elbow was in pain due to my new hand workout. might skip tomorrows grip routine

Armwrestling Practice

Skipped practice today due to a tournement last Saturday..wasnt a full loss though…hit the C.O.C. #1 for 2 sets of 20 reps both hands….next weeks practice should be better
