Lifts continue to increase!
I just had a personal best on the bench press this wednesday - 325 lbs. I never thought that was possible, but now I am eyeing 355 at 155 - 160 lbs. My squat continues to go up, even though it is relatively weak, it is improving, and that is what I want. I am FINALLY over 1000 now for my big three total, with a 335 lb max squat on thursday (like I said, it is weak). The shoulders felt good after last week's workout, so I think I can get back into them now. So, after coming back from my elbow injury, I have gone from about 275 lb max bench to 325 lb max bench in about 3 months. I am excited for the end of the year. Oh, also, I am having the best arm workouts EVER. My tricep strength is going through the roof compared to what it used to be (which is what I mainly attribute my increased bench to), and bicep strength continues to increase as well. After about a 3 to 4 month break from forearms, I am getting back into hitting them too. I have lost a little bit of strength, but not much. My wrists were beat up from all the heavy wrist curls (205 lbs on barbell) and 100 lb db's, so the rest did them good, they feel very solid now. Leg press on thursday was good as well, as I was able to get 630 for 3 reps after maxing out in squatting, doing a full squat workout, and then lunges. I just hope this ride continues.
Hey outstanding acomplishment bro. Dont forget that the tortoise beat the hare...at your age and size that is great...make sure your mentally prepared to plateu for a bit very soon. In the meantime stay motivated and avoid injury.
Good Luck
Really impressive strength work, especially in that short amount of time. What does your rep/weight scheme set up look like on bench? I've hit 315 b4 but haven't tried 325 yet but would be cool to get a baseline on rep ranges to gauge my progress. great job man!
