This is going to make someone mad but I don’t care. As we all know bodybuilding.com is looking for their 2010 spokespeople. Well my fellow bodyspace members, be prepared to be bombarded by people who you have "chatted" with for some time. These are the same people who don’t respond to comments or PM’s. Yet, when it’s time for self promotion, they’re all up in your face. I don’t know who nominates these people but they are NOT what Bodyspace is all about.
I am here to help. I am not here to score some modeling contract or push supplements and or charge for meal plans. Would a modeling contract be nice? Of course it would. However, receiving emails from people who say they find inspiration in me is better than any contract. I mean that 100% Regarding this inspiration thing. Someone had the nerve to message me stating "that I should add them to my inspiration list, because he inspires me." I nearly fell out of my chair. Even if that was the case, you sir have lost all respect. Once again, idiots looking to gain personally and by looking at the top 6. He is doing quite well. Once I found out how to remove people permanently, this clown is gone.
Oh well. It had to be said. Have a nice day.

I could think of a good title, so I settled on this. Anyway, due to life issues, I haven’t been able to get to the gym for the last two days. Each day has been horrible to say the least, but this has allowed me time to reflect on training, my goals and just overall life.
Training:
There is an old saying, "It’s not the machine, but the man." I believe, the saying originated from World War II. This saying can applied to the gym. It’s not how much weight you lift, it’s how you lift it. I was reading a profile of someone I have come to admire. This person has been able to change their life around through the use of fitness. However, now do to one mistake. They may be out for a long time or even permanently. The injury is not important, how this person got injured is.
I personally believe that EGO is the #1 factor in gym injuries. I see it everyday, males come in and immediately proceed to squat 300 or bench 300. They wonder why they don’t progress or get injured. I tell males time after time, that you must leave the ego at the door. It’s not about out benching the guy across the gym. It’s about coming and using your time effectively. I spoke with a friend yesterday, regarding getting my deadlift up. I explained to him that I believe I am being held back due to a minor injury in the past. He stated, "Stop being a pussy. I (insert injury here), (Insert heroic recovery), ( Insert massive increase in strength)." All, the while I was thinking. Yeah, ok. I stop being a "pussy" and injure myself. Where will I be at?
In am in this for a long run and I be damned, if I let a self caused injury set me back. Here are some keys to success:
- Don’t lift drunk or tipsy - Yeah, that was a smart move that put me out for a month.
- Don’t try to impress girls by lifting heavy - 9 times out of 10, they don’t even care. Plus, they’re probably laughing at your foolish ass.
- EGO is a killer - Leave that **** at the door.
- Read the profiles of others - I think this is one of the most important. You should always read and learn what not to do from others.
That’s it, now let’s get it in!

Wherever you go, someone is watching your actions. How does this fit into working out? Let me explain. I was at the gym earlier today hitting my back and biceps. During one of my rest periods between barbell curls, I started talking to this guy. We’re talking and he asks if I am in the military. I was like no, why? He says, "Well, my friend (describes "friend") commented on how disciplined you are. He also, noted that when you do squats you go all the way down to the ground." I was like, yeah most people don’t go A2G. I laugh when I see people "squatting" 400+ but they can’t even go parallel. He was like, "totally agree."
The moral of the story is, that actions speak louder than words, and people are watching those actions. You can inspire or disgust somoene without even saying anything. It’s not about lifting heavy weight. It’s about keeping your ego at the door and following good form. Working out is process that takes years and I am in it for the long haul.

I am tired of the excuses. I am tired of the "enablers", that sugarcoat reality and make more excuses. Look buddy boy and or girl, this sh*t isn’t easy. If it was easy, everyone and their pet would be ripped to shreds. You have two choices:
1. Do something about your current situation.
2. Accept what you are and keep living life.
I started posting pictures everyday to show that it can be done. I was fat (still think I am fat), I was lazy and most importantly I MADE EXCUSES! Look, in this game, the excuses have to go. No one is going to sugar coat your path to greatness. It’s just you and that iron, you and that treadmill. Hell, on the real it’s just YOU. That’s right YOU! You’re the only person that has total control.
I am done. Good night.

Better yet, I have two tips!
1. Stop comparing your progress to others - You don’t know what the other person does, you don’t know what they eat. You also don’t have the same chemical make-up as them, so stop comparing.
2. If you see someone and they look "fit", don’t assume that they were always like that - I was doing cardio this morning. Some, guy came up to me and asked about my diet. I told him and he was like "you are swole, so what do you know about being fat?" Now, this guy clearly didn’t know that I was tipping the scales at 300 pounds. Well, one picture changed his mind.
Okay, I lied. Here is another tip. I have been seeing a number of comments about cleanse "diets" and the like - These "diets" are epic failures. You’re not losing any weight, you’re just losing water.

Every holiday, I hear the same thing over and over again. However, before I get into that. I need to update you all. I tried upping my carbohydrates for one day and I didn’t like it. My weight loss stalled due to my reduction in calories, so I upped my calories to 2900. Now, I am feeling much better.
Alright, as we all know the 4th of July is tomorrow. I am already hearing people talk and messages being posted about "eating clean". Food is neither clean nor dirty. It serves a purpose of your providing your body with energy in which you burn. Human perception has shaped food into either "clean" or "dirty". I bowl of "clean" almonds or "clean" apples, can make you fat just like a "dirty" steak can.
At the end of the day, we’re all here on this planet to LIVE life. Let me say that again, LIVE life. You being a fitness prune while everyone else is enjoying themselves, is going to leave you isolated in the corner. Holiday’s are great because they are just that Holiday’s. A time for you to relax and enjoy yourself with friends and family. Now, before I go to the gym for a second time today. It’s time to recap.
One day of eating whatever you want, will not hurt your progress. Well if you just started the Anabolic diet or any low carb diet that requires an induction phase… well you choose the wrong week to start. Sorry homey. If you’re overweight and thank one day is going to hurt your progress, well you need to chill. Did it take only ONE DAY to be where you are now? I think not. Now, go out and enjoy life, because you only have one.
Oh, and don’t buy the book "Eat Clean Diet for Men". The book clearly mentions not to eat after 6pm. I returned the book the next day.

Contrary to what many say on their bodyspace tag lines. Supplements are just that, SUPPLEMENTS. There is no supplement in the world that is going to provide will power and dedication. People ask me what supplements I used to lose weights. It wasn’t the supplements that got me out of the bed. It wasn’t the supplements the got to where I am now. It’s not the supplements that continue to push me.
Remember, the most important supplement is within in your body. Once, you tap that, the world is yours. Just a little something to remember, when you see ****** rocks! Promo code *******.

From time to time, I go through my "friends" list and see what’s going on with them. I have noticed recently noticed that a lot profiles have become inactive. I can only assume that’s is due to the warm weather and these individuals are outside getting it in. Well I hope that is the case. Anyway, be easy.

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday weekend. I was spent the weekend at the beach in Ocean City, Maryland and this brings to my first comment.
Most people don’t give a damn about how they look. No, I am serious about that. You should have seen most of the people. I was just like wow.. However, I still felt bad about how I looked. I felt that I was fat and I was not defined enough. I will be posting a number of pictures to show you what I am talking about.
Regarding the pictures, after looking at them I have a series of areas I need to focus on. I need to hit my chest harder and continue to drop my body fat levels.

I hate training my abs.
I know you’re thinking, did he just say that? Yes, I did. The sure thought of doing any ab exercises bring shudders to my spine. The reason is simple…. I don’t believe I am doing any of the exercises targeting the abdominal muscle correctly.
"Well, didn’t you make a video?" This is true I did make a video, but there are tons of video on youtube of people doing exercises wrong. Mine is no different.
Out of all the area’s of my body, the ab area is the least defined. Shoulders, chest, legs and arms are all coming along nicely. However, those abs. They might as well be sitting somewhere and taking a lunch break. The definition is just not there and it’s not from the lack of trying. I don’t know what it is and I am open for suggestions.
It’s quite possible that I need drop more weight and or bodyfat but really how much. I am at 189 and if I get any smaller I will disappear. Oh, well I had to get that off my chest.
