Liquid Egg Whites
Egg whites. We all know that they are "healthy" for you and are great when cutting. However, what's the benefit of the liquid product? I purchased a container of liquid egg white yesterday for around $4.00. Mind you this was "on sale". This morning I tried the product out. They cook like eggs and they taste like eggs. However, I don't feel any different. I don't feel cooler cause I got some liquid egg whites. Actually I feel $4.00 lighter. I could have bought 96 count of egg from Costco for the same price. Plus, I normally eat 2 whole eggs with 6 egg whites. You can't do that with an all egg white product.
Oh and by the way. Don't believe the hype. Even on a cutting diet you should still consume whole eggs, they are healthier than you think. The cost effectiveness of this product is not viable. I see no benefit, unless you're some lazy fool, who can't be bothered with separating an egg. If you have trouble for that. I will send you a separated egg solution. You just pay .30 per egg. Sound foolish doesn't it? Well, that's exactly what you're doing when you buy this product.
Now what exactly am I going to do with the rest of this crap? I wonder how it would look in the snow...

Gotta disagree with you on this one bruh. I buy my liquid egg whites, along with my carton of eggs from COSTCO mainly so that i dont eat up all the eggs in the house. The liquid egg whites contain the same nutrients as cracking the egg and separatiing, but its less time consuming for me. Its not a lazy thing its a time management thing. I got a small window of time between when breakfast gets started for a family of three, and when i gotta get out the door. So yeah, cracking 10 eggs and separating the yolks is not gonna make it for me.
So I buy 4 cartons about twice a month and its worked out pretty well. The way i see it, if i paid for what i make in the house at the neghborhood deli, or restaurant it will cost me about 12 bucks a pop. The way i see it i come out ahead.

We're going to have to disagree then. My time is limited just like everyone else on the planet Earth. Yet, I still find the time to crack eggs.

I still eat regular eggs (brown, large, cage-free organic) but I did purchase my first liquid egg whites last week. I do not like eggs regardless. Of course the taste is similar to eggs because it is eggs, just the white part. It is pricey but I pay more than normal for eggs since I get the organic.
But I'm definitely not about to separate the yolk from the white, too much work! For me its worth it and do people actually eat the yolk if they're just eatin gthe whites?
I used to do the egg cracking thing. Now it's 1 cup of egg whites (equivalent of 5 real eggs) and 1 whole egg. Much quicker and less tedious. You're right though since you PAY for the convienence.
I would agree 100% with this...my sister is a dietician, and this was a toppic in one of her grad class, its a myth not to eat the yoke, thats were all the goods are, she did say if you were to eat a lot a day like half a doz then maybe eag whites would be slightly better in those quanities, but if you going to eat 2 or 3 whole eggs then not to worry about it...$.02
I buy teh regualr eggs mainly so i can have them whole and add them to the egg whites. Both benefit me well because i don't have to spend time taking the whites from the cracked eggs
As much as possible, I try to eat things as they come from nature, so I just buy eggs. I refuse to buy "diet" foods and foods messed with by manind.
Lucky for me, I LOVE eggs and egg whites and don't mind eating them everyday. Young man I highly suggest the book IN DEFENSE OF FOOD which expands more on the topic of eating real "unimproved" food.
I say eat the whole egg all the time- the yolk has too many nutrients to throw away! I do buy organic, omega 3 eggs though- they're more expensive but do actually taste better
