Remember where you came from.
The very few who visit my page, may I have noticed that I changed my profile picture. That picture was taken when in was in Florida, during the summer of 2007. I can remember that vacation like it was yesterday. Size 44 jeans and 4x to 3x shirts, made me feel real toasty inside. I basically thought I was the ****. As I look back, I just laugh. Now, what’s the point of the story? Well let me explain.
There are plenty of pro and cons with working out. We all get sold on looking good and feeling better. However, there is a darker side to working out. I have noticed that people think they’re are better than others just because they work out. I have caught myself acting like this from time to time and it disgusts me. I often wonder, what I am injured to the point of not being able to lift a weight again. What would I do? How would I feel?
That’s when I came to realise that confidence is not something that you can build in the gym. Confidence… *ahem* swag is something that you’re born with. Jay-Z, was qouted as saying "you are, what you are, before you even got here." For the most part I believe that. So, the next time you start thinking about how you’re better than (insert person here). Look in the mirror and ask yourself, what would happen if?

When I look at fat people I’ve never felt superior. Instead I feel sorry for them. Life is so great and yet the weight is a significant detractor from that greatness. How do you squeeze into that bathroom stall? Why do you have to sit down after walking only .25 miles in an amusement park? Getting out of the car really shouldn’t be an ordeal! I’ve never been fat but I think about it a lot mostly because of the many people around me who are so out of shape. People like you are a gift. You’ve know both sides and you choose to help others learn what you know. That is character my friend.

I agree with you ! I have noticed that alot of people on this site at times come off that way.I responded to a blog recently making the same point you are making. You should not make assumptions on peoples looks alone. Just because one works out does not make them healthy people do some very unhealthy things just to look good. I accept people how they are.

I agree with your post, and wish to add. A personality is found on the inside of a person! It’s not what’s on the outside.
But that being said, we all should try to better ourselves. Bettering ourselves involves far more than picking up weights and lifting or doing cardio. It involves our mental attributes.
There are people who are fit and in excellent physicall condition but are poor humans beings because they threat people with such disrespect. I Pride myself on person who see you as you are, not what you are on the outside. I am so happy to call such person my friend!

Good blog. Sometimes people don’t show there true colors until they feel like they can. When we are down on our luck we tend to be nice and act as if we need other people. On the other hand when we fly high we tend to drop crap on people. Humility is very important. Great job on working out and I wish you the best.
