New Workout??
I work out with this guy at the gym every now and then. He suggested a different way of training. Very light weight and lots of repetitions (failure) with high intensity. At first I was a little sceptical. I want to lose weight (body fat) and gain muscle definition. I know that because of the intensity you burn more calories and there for more fat. But what is it going to do for my muscle definition? It takes a lot for a person to convince me, especially if you’re not a certified trainer. But he looks good, and for what he has told me… all natural… of course.
So I worked out the way he said and I did legs yesterday.… OMG!!! I’m sore everywhere. I have sore muscles that I didn’t even think I had to begin with. For example: Squats on the smith, 10 kg approx. 22lbs. (I usually do 20 kg 4 sets of 10-12 reps.) All the way down, over 90 degrees and half way up. I did 4 sets of 30-40 reps.
Jumping side squats on a platform, legpress, seated leg extension, seated leg curl, leg press and lying leg curl.
I have shoulders & traps today. I’m already freaking out. LOL Shoulder-workout is my least favorite workout, but the one I do most because I want to have beautiful strong shoulders.

My advice is don’t make the high-rep, low weight workout your staple though. do it for two weeks and then move back to heavy weights. more weights = more muscle=more fatburning.
