Wow. That is all I can say! Since I’ve started the HMB, I have noticed major increases during my resistance sessions and also visibly that my muscle is denser–I couldn’t be more pleased with this product! Plus, I’m not on a contest prep diet so I will be excited to see the gains I’ll have with HMB when I start prepping next year. Two weeks ago I could barely rep out 50lb dumbbells for 8 on bench press, and this past Wednesday I did 50’s for 13 on my last set! Hoorah! My deadlifts were also weak–managing 10 reps at 135 for all sets and now I’m back to that 15 rep range and increasing! Anyone who has ever considered trying this product needs to order it ASAP. Check out http://www.optimumnutrition.com/products/hmb-1000-caps-p-238.html and try out HMB. Will be the best buy you have made all year!
As always!

What is HMB and what are the uses for it?
A review in Nutrition & Metabolism provides an in depth and objective analysis of HMB research. [4] The same study lists as HMBs proposed mechanisms of action the following:
Three grams of HMB per day may help muscles combat protein breakdown, assist in muscle repair and support increased endurance. Studies suggest its benefits may be greater for the untrained. Also, well-controlled scientific studies have found increases in muscle mass and decreases in body fat in 70 year old men. It has helped patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in hospital intensive care units, muscle wasting associated with HIV or AIDS and with cancer, and trauma victims with severe injuries.[citation needed]
The human body produces about 0.2-0.4 grams per day. Standard doses in research studies have been 1.5 to 3.0 grams per day, usually divided into two doses.
I have added this supplement into my nutrition and will weekly update you on my progress–I take the doses 3x a day, always with meal having protein.

It is hard for me not to laugh at these people when I hear that. I maintain year long leaness for photoshoots and the fact that this is my lifestyle–I love being fit, and ripped to shreds 24/7, and not just for 10 minutes onstage. I know it is definitely not the norm to see girls especially being cut and muscular, but hey, clearly I work out. That is a given. I had my Manor Gym t-shirt on at school(shameless plug Amanda!!) and this girl asked me if I workout. I usually take a few seconds and smile, and answer them accordingly: why yes, I do! But seriously, come on. If you saw a guy in a black uniform with a BADGE on his outfit that said POLICE would you really ask him, "Are you a cop?" I know it is silly, but it is just something I get asked ALOT and I was wondering if any other muscular ladies on bodyspace get the same rap?

We are all on that quest to be lean–whether it be for a photoshoot, bodybuilding, figure, bikini, or just because we wanna look ripped to shreds. I get a lot of questions about what diuretics I take, thermos, etc. Here are my thoughts on thermogenics:
If you want to get lean for a show, photoshoot, or just because you don’t have to take thermogenics to get lean. Getting lean requires patience, consistency, and hard work. A clean diet, good resistance training program, and cardio sessions will give you that leaness you want without all the nasty side effects of thermos. Sure, they can give you energy but I’d rather have my cup o’ joe in the morning then give myself a high that I will soon crash off of. Having your dream physique is not found in the form of a pill, or any other things that claim to get you lean and shredded. Bust your butt, never give up, and you will reap the reward of leaness without any of that extra stuff. I have NEVER taken any thermos for any of my shows and I still got very lean. Never forget, you are what you EAT!!
Now go kick butt in the gym and in your kitchen.
Till next time!

Hey guys and gals! I want you guys to send loads of positive vibes/energy to my good friend and inspiration, musclephd. If you don’t know her, she is under my list of inspirations. She is by far one of the BEST drug free natural athletes that I have had the pleasure and priviledge of knowing and befriending. She is super dedicated to her sport, trains harder than anyone I know, and is extremely HUMBLE about her physique. She is a champion in my eyes, and I hope you all will join me in wishing her good luck today as she competes at the Texas State Championships.

During high intensity training, glucose and glycogen are broken down for energy. In the process, hydrogen ions (H+) are also produced within the muscles. H+ accumulation causes the muscles to become more acidic and ultimately leads to fatigue. Threshhold is designed to help boost your intramuscular buffering system so that you can train harder, longer!
I take this product twice a day, once in the morning and one preworkout. Once that beta alanine kicks in, my workout gets into high gear as I feel tingly sensations all over!!
By far a must have product for any workout!!
