I really wish I could get the Map My Run App to work on my phone so I can track my routes and go off the beaten path a bit but so far I have had zero success and a whole lot of frustration. I can’t get the site to work at all on my PC either which is a double bummer. I am heading out this morning on a route that I know- 3.2 miles.
My workouts of late (1.5 weeks) have been lackadaisical and I wan...t very much to get on track again. My goal is to build a body to help promote my brand and it needs to be well above average because everyone in the world is a photographer these days. Survival of the fittest means being the fittest and that is what I intend to be.
Yesterday I did 20 minutes on the stairs which was more than enough to cover the machine in sweat. I also did wall squats holding a ten pound medicine ball. I worked my core by doing crunches and push ups in plank position with my feet up on a ball. My energy level was LOW through the whole workout and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t quite get into it. Sometimes I have days like that and when I do my only goal is to keep moving even if it as a snails pace.
I had a menial shoulder and chest workout. Chest Press 60 pounds to a count of seven (2 sets), 45 pounds to a count of 12 (2 sets). Seated Row 45 pounds to a count of 12 (6 sets), and Shoulder Press… I started chatting to a personal trainer right about the time. He told me my form was crap and I told him to go to hell. He showed me how to do it right, which was painful… AND…. I stopped counting soon after. I spent the rest of my time on the machine cursing him while trying to focus on not lifting with my neck. My form is not always great but I now have a crazy strong neck to hold up my big swollen head………
