Just giving and update..

I would like to do these more often to keep a journal but we will see how I do.  So far I have been going to Krav Maga and Judo every week.  I have missed Judo for the past two weeks since I am waiting on my Gi order.

Today I ran 4.82 miles and burned ~783 calories.  So that was nice since I ate Thanksgiving dinner about 30 minutes after I was completed.

Hopefully I can make it to the gym tomorrow before work.  IF not, then I wil just run again.  No Martial arts until next week since it is closed.

I am coming up on week two of add martial arts to my work out routine.  The most difficult part seems to be adding functional routines.  Do not get me wrong though, Krav Maga and Judo are definitely difficult. I will actually add more to this soon.

Another Day of working out….

I was able to increase almost all of my work outs at the end and did every set to the fullest.  Thats a great feeling.  Did some stretches (quads, Hams) then ran down Route 202 (2miles).  I feel "great" after doing that. I am hoping to increase the distance one day.  Just sucks that its going to start getting colder and I do not like jogging on a treadmill.  My knee is doing alot better after taking a week off from doing all leg work outs….

Another day at the Gym…

Having some pain in my right knee so I didn’t get a chance to do Squats, Lunges, single leg squats..which sucks!

But I made up for it by keeping the intensity up through Bench, Cable Cross-over, Decline Dumbbell Bench and the other parts of my workout.

I have to get some rest tonight since I have to be back at the gym at 7am..is it good to work out at night then work out the following morning???

It is becoming tough to work out because of being a fulltime student and full time manager.  Monday, and Tuesday I work 6am-4pm then class from 5:30 to 10:00pm.  But Wednesdays I typically have off.  So I go to the gym in the morning then class at night.  The rest of the week I just jump from working out at night or morning.  This session will be over the 22 of October and I will only have a Wednesday class. I am excited. I dont think this jumping around work out is as effective.

I added in some new work outs to my regiment.  Deadlifts, Lunge Squats, and Raised Leg Squats.  I read in Men’s Fitness that Leg Extentions and Hamstring curls are bad for the hamstrings and Knees so they suggested doing those other two work outs.  I started them 2 weeks ago and they hurt like hell.  I can’t do Leg Extensions or Hamstring curls anymore because they are TOO EASY! My Hamstrings and Quads have lost a good amount of fat and gained alot of muscle over time and I know these new work outs will help it even more!
