I gave my body a well deserved and needed rest today. My diet this week has been shaky at best , next week I think I will be alot more strict. As far as my workouts go I think I did a great job for my upper body and I will do lower body tomorrow. I will wait another week or so to do measurments and all to give myself a chance to actually notice results.

I am pretty sore today again! I did triceps and forearms really well today and have legs to look forward to tomorrow. My diet feels very loose to me though , I am not used to eating this much. I guess thats why people love the bulking phase because you can eat untill you drop basically. I am sticking to a 3500 calorie diet still and eating fairly clean but not perfect by any stretch. I know I can cut up pretty easily and I am taking my protein shakes so I know I should be seeing results. It’s tough coming from a 2200 calorie diet to a 3500 calorie diet though , I feel like I am constantly cheating and it’s making me guilty at every meal. I am hoping this is a phase that will soon go away. I think after a few weeks of it and taking measurments to make sure my bodyfat is not going up much I will feel alot better.

My lower back felt like I was in a serious car accident today . I was completely sore and hard to get out of bed but I went to the gym anyways for some cardio. I did a solid hour of low intensity biking at the gym … I’ve been researching the spin classes at my gym for when I am ready to do a cutting cycle. Seems like incorporating that 3 times a week would be great for shedding pounds. It says it burns 800 calories in a session , I find that incredible ! I could still eat a decent diet and just do spin classes to cut up. hopefully that would maintain my muscle mass that I am trying to build now as well !! Other than that I slept in again today for some odd reason ( 10 hours ) . Maybe its the weights that are just beating my body up but tomorrow I am going to make a point to not sleep in, I feel lazy when I finally do get up. Here’s to tomorrow !

I am absolutely exhausted today. I slept like 10 hours last night which is alittle unusual for me. I think yesterdays workout beat me up especially good. I felt sore today but not overly sore. I made it to the gym for my biceps and back workout which once again beat me up seriously. It’s a great type of exhaustion though ! I can feel my muscles working extra hard in the gym and one thing I am proud about is my muscle endurance. I can easily work out each body part with 3 exercises and 5 sets per excercise and complete it . Before I started working out at all at the first of the year I would never have made it through these workouts. I am wondering if my lack of extremem soreness is due to the protein shakes and creatine perhaps…

Today I started my new workout plan ! Chest and shoulders day was pretty rough. I found that by the last excercise of each group I was exhausted. Shoulders was almost impossible to get through after destroying my chest. I feel pretty good afterwards now and my supplements actually tasted awesome. The Nitro-Tech protein powder I got was delicious with some lowfat milk, and my creatine with dextrose was incredible tasting. I also bought myself a 1gallon jug so I can make sure I am drinking an adequate amount of water. My gym experience was exhausting but I feel pretty beat up and relaxed all at the same time at home writing this. Overall a very successful day 1 !

Well I finally broke down and bought the gigantic Muscletech Nitro-Tech Hardcore protein 4lb. tub. The thing is huge ! I have heard a million and a half great things about it so I figured it would be a good purchase to help put on some muscle over the next few months ! I am also thinking about taking BSN’s Cellmass for my creatine and of course my Animal Stack Multi vitamin. All together this should be a great stack to put on some serious gains along with my serious training schedule. I am excited to get started after this weekend at work !

I find myself quit excited about jumping on a bulking phase. I have never done this before , then again I have never been in decent enough shape to try and do this before. I am just about finished with my 7 week conditioning from the begining of the year. During these 7 weeks I have droped 4% bodyfat and trained my muscles to do some serious lifting. I am now ready to pack on some muscle ( and hopefully not much fat ). I will be started this next program next monday and with the help of this blog and bodyspace I know I will be able to do it the right way!
