As we held a standdown yesterday to commerate 9-11, I must reflect why I still serve in the military.  We fight for what is right and for the safety of a kind-hearted people. 

I reflect on my own childhood philosophy, "protect my friends from bullies."  Today, I still believe in protecting my friends from bullies.  I’m sure that my fellow soldiers will agree with me when I say that I will always be there for my country and will die to protect our families.

As my husband leaves in 7 days to Iraq, our families continue to lend support to a good cause.  Please, continue to pray for our soldiers in harms way.
