Lifting Again

I must admit I was a little depressed over not being able to explain my fatigue with the B12 deficiency.  I did take the full week off from lifting but I did my cardio.  My shoulder has been getting much better and I am looking forward to the pain going away fully.  I am pretty sure my fatigue is from a lack of sleep and poor diet.  My diet has been much better and today I lifted again.  Did back, biceps and cardio.  It felt great to lift again.  Yea I know it was only a week off but I just love to lift.  Tomorrow will be cardio, abs and an hour with the physical therapist.  I have most of my meals for the week cooked.  I am going to do great today on my diet.  I have faith.

All in all a good day

I had an ok 40 min fast walk on the treadmill.  I had Physical Therapy today and I was in much better shape than I was on Monday.  I am doing the work I need to to make it better but I miss lifting.  I can’t wait to hit the weights on Monday.  My diet has been pretty good today.  Drank some RTD’s when I could not eat (worked a 12 hour shift).  I did have a few candy corns.  Bad me.  I really can’t wait to go to bed.  I have about 30 min left at work and then home and to bed.  Yea sleep.  By the way I got my B-12 results today.  Turns out I have elevated B 12 levels.  That’s right elevated not low.  I am glad I am not sick but I was hoping to get a shot and have more energy.  Damn I guess I will have to do it the hard way, eat right and work out.  Oh well.

Feeling a little better

I am more optimistic this week.  My shoulder was bad this weekend and I decided to not lift this week.  I am still doing my cardio and abs.  I also have physical therapy twice a week and rehab home work I have to do twice a day.  I have been trying to stay on my diet but have not been great.  I eat my first two to three meals as I am supposed to but as night comes my diet goes to crap.  I am eating healthy, mostly, but I am eating too much and at the wrong times.  My shoulder has been a lot better and that helps.  I had my blood drawn last week to test my B-12 levels and I should have an answer tomorrow.  I actually hope I have a problem.  If I don’t I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me.  I can honestly say I am always thinking the Doc will tell me I have a slow thyroid or something.  I guess I just dont want to think it is merely a will power thing.  You know I think I need to find someone to bet.  That always seems to help me.  I guess I just need the competition.  I do not self motivate well.

Pointless

Did 45 min of cardio, did not lift, ate like crap.  Sometimes I wonder whats the point.  Between shoulder problems and everything else I sometimes think why do it.  Oh yea cause I love to lift and someday I want to see my feet without sucking in my gut.  Its the little things in life.

Physical Therapist appointment

Monday, October 1st, 2007

I went to the physical therapist today about my shoulder.  He said my healing is a head of were he would expect it to be and credited my weight training.  He thinks I have an impingement and possibly a partial tare.  I have to go see him twice a week and stretch everyday.  He also said I can’t flat bench, incline bench, press or anything that would keep my shoulder from healing.  This sucks.  I will work around the injury.  He said everytime I try to see if certain movements hurt I am slowing the healing.

I am up to 45 min of cardio this week.  My diet has been not great.  I am not eating bad stuff but I am no eating my diet.  I have to get back on track.
