Holidays

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

Well the Holiday was not bad for my diet but sure hurt my workout.  I was so busy working 12 hours a day and getting ready for the holiday I had to rush my workouts and just wasn’t into them.  I am trying to stay focused because I if I slack off I know it will be back to the usual.  I am having a minor medical thing next week that will keep me from lifting for about a week and I don’t want to go into that after slacking off.  I figure my recovery will be my slack off time.  Anyway thanks for reading.

Week 5

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Well I made it though week five and I tell you what I feel great.  I have lost 12 pounds on the scale but I know I have put on some muscle mass so I’m not sure what my body fat is.  My diet has been good and I am preparing for a little cheat on Thanksgiving.  My lifts have been great.  I did not give in to my cold and powered through it.  I have been sick a little longer than I would have been if I had stopped working out but it’s worth it.  I feel better and I know I look better.  Well here is to keeping up the fight for fitness.

Week 4

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

Well I made it through another week.  It is getting a little easier to eat well.  I find myself not fighting cravings because I do not have the cravings of old.  I do however feel like if I cheat on my diet it will be down hill fall.  Anyways back to the positive.  I am lifting 6 days a week and doing about 3 and half hours of cardio a week.  I do 30 min on the bike each day, 4 days a week, and one day a week I take a spinning class for an hour.  I am getting to a place where I look in the mirror and like what I see.  Sometimes I think I’m fooling myself into thinking I look better but my pants are not so tight.  I tell you what, I feel better and better with each workout.  I have changed up my supplements but wonder if it really makes a difference.  This supplement or that one, is it all a waist of money.  I guess the way I see it as long as I am making improvements, why cut something out.  I am tired of the diet, steamed chicken sucks.  But I have been eating a little flank steak and egg whites to mix it up.  I eat oatmeal, yams and white rice for carbs.  I do drink a simple carb rich shake I mix myself, oatmeal-protein-powder-frozen fruit and glutamine.  I also have a couple of dried pineapple circles after my workout.  The only setback I have had this week is I am getting sick.  This always happens when I get diligent about my workouts but I refuse to give in.  If I take a break to be sick I will fall down that slippery slope.  Well here is to a great week five.

Week Three

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Well this week has been full of challenges.  My diet is getting boring and it’s Halloween.  I have managed, for the most part, to avoid eating any of the candy.  I have mead every workout and am feeling like I am making progress.  I have lost 7 scale pounds but have not had my body fat checked.  I will wait till the end of November to check that.  Well if I can just keep on track I think I just might make it.
