A week without a cheat

Well I have kept up with the workouts, still have not missed one.  I started to really restrict my eating and have made it with out a cheating for a full week.  For some that may seem like a little task but trust me, for a man who has been fat most of his life it is a big thing.  I just take it one meal at a time and keep thinking I can not cheat until my next meal.  Short term goals are keeping me focused.

Progress

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

I have made all of my workouts, doing at least 30 min of cardio a day, and this week I lifted three times doing two body parts each time.  My diet has been good this week but could be better.  I have felt run down but in my job I work a lot of overtime and don’t sleep much.  I have remained concentrated on my goal not to give up.  Tonight I went to the Anchorage Bodybuilding Championships (which I want to compete in one day).  Man was it motivating.  There was a guy in his 40’s that lost about 100 pounds and looked great.  That gives me hope because I am where he was 100 pounds ago.  

Well so far so good.

Time for a change

Now is a time for change.  I have been working out for a long time and have seen my fat go up and down.  Now I want to make a change that will last.  My work outs are good and I know the diet must just as good.  I have started a bet with some guys from work but am finding it hard to keep to a diet.  Right know I am trying to live low fat and only low GI carbs.  I don’t know if this is the right diet choice but it is what I am trying.  I have started this page in hopes it will motivate me.  I will update this as I progress, for better or worse.
