Crap, crappy, crapola
That’s how I felt this morning. I RE-LEARNED a lesson this morning……..Crap diet leads to feeling crappy during workouts. I’ve been stress eating lately, primarily on weekends. This weekend was more of the same, with yesterday’s food intake being awful. I partook in unhealthy meals & sweets along with the kiddies, on a weekend trip at the beach. Too much food. Bad food. The result was feeling terrible this morning in the workout, and it wasn’t due to insomnia. Also, both shoulders were quite sore & achy.
So I’m bringing back an old friend for November & December……..CLEAN EATS & NO CHEATS. Actually, I’m shooting for a max of 1 cheat meal per week through the rest of the year. I’m up 5-6 lbs from several months ago. Part of that is definitely more muscle, I can see it. But it’s also more bodyfat. The mirror doesn’t lie on that either. So I’m starting TODAY. The following Billy Joel song, Pressure, is how I feel about my handling of stress lately. I’m not one to spew my guts. Suffice to say I can do better. Back into a NO WUSS ZONE.

THANKS BILLY. I’ll be working on getting the coolness back into my vertabrae, with this other great Billy Joel song, The River Of Dreams.

WORKOUT THIS MORNING — CHEST:
(6-8 reps, 45-60 sec’s rest)
– Bench press (6 sets, dropset on last set)
– Decline bench press (3 sets, dropset on last set)
– Incline DB bench press (3 sets, dropset on last set)
– Incline flyes (3 sets, dropset on last set)
– Pec dec machine (3 sets, each set superset with pushups)
CARDIO: 30 min’s of varying intervals on elliptical. HR 140-170.
Just getting to the gym IS a successful workout!

Im glad Im not the only one who eats bad on weekends! Although I have spent 2 weeks eating bad since I made some awesome chocolated chip cookies and the heathens didnt like them so of course I had to eat them all myself! and that has lead to horrible sugar cravings which I have been indulging in and now I am all bloated and edematous! You can do it and so can I! here is to healthy eating with no cheating!

A-train:
You are the clean eats/no cheats schwami. Everytime you say it, it is done. I need to follow your example. I have been an absolute moron with my eating lately (for the same reasons). Give ‘em hell, and I ‘ll follow. Great workout today.

You continue to inspire Al. 1 cheat meal per week for 60 days is quite ambitious. I might join you for 30 of those days… But I won’t start till November 1. I did the no alcohol thing for a month and survived but allowing for only one cheat is definitely the next level of commitment. If I go this nuts then it would be a perfect time to take some OTC anabolic helpers (legal steroids). Hmm, ok. I’ll do this with you 30 days anyway

I join you on the clean eats and no cheats Al. I will be repeating it over and over again in my head. Isn’t it amazing what sugar can do to you? Keep up the hard work!

Al,
Well, I glad to see that you are working on that crazyness! I think the weekends are so hard, because unlike the week, our life is so unstructed on the weekend thus, we do what we want to! I know how you feel, it was a fight this weekend to eat clean, especially with the horrible weather here. But I went to my fitness show and everyone there, all the contestant kept on saying clean eating habbits! So I am so with you, clean eats and no cheats!

I ate bad food this weekend as well. Shopping out of state with some girlfriends and I can Guarantee it was Over 3500 calories in just ONE day! I have my bodyfat checked tonight and meet my trainer to get my new plan for the next 6 weeks. I’m wondering if he will have me down to just 1 cheat a week as well. I’ll share tomorrow

Man did Billy Joel ever have that right but you could probably include "under pressure" by Queen and David Bowie in the same frame of mind

Okay, Al. I am holding you to it. 1 cheat meal a week!
