JAN / FEB (day 55 of heavy cycle)
Another so-so workout this morning. Partly due to after dinner munching last night. I’ve been way off point on nighttime junk food for the last 10 days or so. Time to toughen up! I’m resolving today to get back on a strict clean eating diet for a few weeks………my pants were a little tighter when I got dressed for work.
WORKOUT THIS MORNING — LEGS (8-12 reps per set): V-squats on Hammer Strength machine (5 sets), squats on Smith Machine (5 sets, last set with 2 drop sets), leg extensions (5 sets, last set with 2 drop sets), dead lifts (5 sets, last set with 2 drop sets), leg extensions again (2 sets), lunges (3 sets, with 25 lbs in each hand). I skipped calves since my right calf is strained, but did some stretching.
Time to get the nighttime munching back under control before I start morphing into a pudgy puffball.
Just getting to the gym IS a successful workout!!

You need to get your butt in gear and buckle down on avoiding the cheats!!!!! Just think of where you’d be now if you avoided them all along. I have faith that you can do this.
I think you need to add…"Just avoiding the munchies is a successful workout", LOL.

Cant be eating well your whole life. I think cheat meals are good. I mean who wants to be stuck eating sutff that tastes like crap all the time.

Yes, Spongeman cheat meals are good but AL said he was doing it for the last 10 days and wants to get back on his good nutrition. So I understand what AL is saying. Can’t be cheating 10 days in a row when you want to be in great shape. You’re doing great AL keep up the hard work

No more cheats. A moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips. I need to record that and play it anytime I grab something late at night to much that isn’t celery.

I’ve been clean so far today Al. Yesterday was Fat Tuesday. We both had to get it out of our system. Now let’s go finish the day strong!

You and me both! On needing to stop cheat foods. Thanks as always for the input, I really do admire your diligence in getting into the gym every day, especially with a family. I know it must be hard yet you are doing it.. now just to work on the eating!
