Grind it out day
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008I rarely lack motivation to workout, but this morning was a tough one. I had no energy and hadn’t slept well the last couple nights. It didn’t help that I binged on chips and treats last night, so I was not in a good mood this morning either. It’s interesting that we can encourage others when they have a slip up, but get ticked off and down on ourselves when we slip.
Today was chest & triceps day, plus 20 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical. Fortunately, the real difference between a lousy or tough workout and a great workout is really only 5-10% at most. I certainly don’t lift 50-75% more weight on a great day, compared to a bad day.
JUST GETTING TO THE GYM IS A SUCCESSFUL WORKOUT.
