Inspirational quote
I really loved it and it might become my daily mantra:
"I’m getting up to do the work only a man can do. How can I possibly hesitate or complain when I’m about to accomplish the task for which I was born" - Marcus Aurelius

I wouldn’t use that as a daily quote. We are in the age of equality now. At any rate, have you seen some of the women on this site? They would beat the hell out of you for saying that ….and maybe me just for the hell of it! Keep it on the down low brotha’.

One of my favorites is:
"You’ve got to get up every morning with determination, if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction."

Rockerpoop, I don’t think any woman would do it. Some might not like it but the hell with them…. I live my life, by my own rules, no woman tells can change that. Yes we are equal with women but we aren’t the same. Men are better at some things and women are better at others.

I think it’s great because it all depends on how you use the word "man". To me in your quote it can mean someone who has leadership, determination, courage, persistense etc. I don’t think he was talking about gender.

Well, I think "Human" is the term when talking about both genders… and knowing it’s Marcus Aurelius said this I believe it applies to men.
It’s not that women can’t live by this principle but I still think it’s men who are builders, providers, defenders, etc. and the pressure is on us!
I might blog about men and women soon, I’ve been having a lot of thoughts about it …

It’s a quote for crying out loud! You can’t change a quote that was written 170BC to fit today’s pc world. Otherwise it will be rocketpoops quote. And believe me I’m not going around saying " a wise rocketpoop once sayed…" You rock that quote AfteraDream - I know I will.

I think it’s an awesome quote. Some things are meant to make you feel your manhood or womanhood. I agree with Eric…rock that quote.
