Surgery, AGAIN!!!!!

July 23, 2007

In Feb. they removed my left medial meniscus.  Now in August they are going to put one in.  I am getting a cadaver transplant.  I did my pre-op today.  It was long and boring.  Because I work in the medical field siiting there listening to what I already know and waiting for over 5 hours was horrible.  But it is a neccesary evil. So on Aug 10th I will go in and have the transplant and then stay for a night.  Since I am in the military I have to go on leave.  I will be on leave for 30 days and then I will return to work.  I will be doing a 6-8 month rehab.  Hopefully I will be back sooner than later, but we will see.  Wish me luck!!!

Front Squats

June 28, 2007

So I was reading a Muscle and Fitness magazine the other day.  It happened to be about one of the greatest bodybuilders period!!  The Oak, Arnold.  He talked about how front squats were so great.  Well I tried them out today.  And I have to say that he was definetely right.  I have been doing legs twice a week.  Tues squats and deads.  Thurs. leg press, hack squats, lying ham curls.  The front squat was wonderful.  Because of the weight placement I was able to almost sit on the floor without having to worry about my lower back kicking in on the way up.  It was a little weird at first and is going to take some getting used to, but I am a believer and will be doing them weekly, maybe more.  For those that want to try something new, give em a go.  You might like them.  Well that is all.  Thanks for coming by!!

Legs

April 4, 2007

Well it has been almost two months since surgery.  I started a new leg routine that had me wishing someone would shoot me.  It is called quadzilla from Animal Pack by Schak.  Here is the link  http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/animalpak80.htm  It was great.  Half way through it felt as if my legs had already grown 3 times bigger.  I will be on it for the next few weeks,so I will update my progress and results.  Once again another awesome routine from Animal Pack.

WTF

March 31, 2007

So because the Navy says that I am over weight for my hieght I have to get taped for bodyfat.  I did a tape about a month ago and I was 40 in at the belly button and 17.5 at the neck.  That put me at 25% bodyfat.  So I took Lipoo6, diet, and some hard work.  I went in this week and got another tape.  Waist is 39 (after lunch and the gym) neck is 16.  That puts me at 25% bodyfat!!!  WTF!!!  I have lost body fat and put on some muscle.  Waist is down and pants are looser.  I now need to get my uniform brought in at the waist because it is starting to bunch, but the Navy says I am still a fat ass.  The tape is worthless and all I can do is deal with it.  I know this is no huge deal, but it really gets on my nerves.  Well I am done whining now.  Thanks for reading!!

Baby Girl

March 15, 2007

My little girl was born March 10th at 1028 P.M.  She was 5lbs. 12 oz. and 18 in. long.  She is so beautiful.  I have taken a week off of work and the gym.  My diet has kinda gone down the drain.  I am trying to get it back on track.  This has deffinetly been a great week though.  Life is great and I am so blessed!!  The three ladies in my life are my motivation.

Tubby Tubby

February 10, 2007

My friends say I am a tubby guy, I prefer the word husky!!  I need to lose some inches from my waist.  The military standards say that I am FAT.  I will be starting rehab for my knee and I will also be starting lipo 6.  My biggest problem is my diet.  The problem is I have none.  I am going to start eating right and clean.  I am going to need some help though, food is my favorite thing.  Please drop me a word or two.  I would really appreciate it!!  Thanks.  Let the Journey begin.  (not the Navy one, I started that 7 years ago)  ;)

Well with a new diet and some new supplements my journey has begun.  It is sat and I started on tues.  So far this week all has gone well.  I am feeling good and after two weeks with no gym I am not struggling like I thought I would.  I had a little hiccup with the Lipo6 on tues, but other than that I like it thus far.  The NO Xpolde seems to be helping also.  As far as diet goes I have cut out the "dirty" foods and started eating cleaner.  There will be more to come in the following weeks!!

Surgery

February 10, 2007

Well the suregery went well, but I got some bad news.  Because I went three years without getting my knee fixed almost all of the meniscuc was destroyed.  So that means they removed most of my medial meniscus.  I will be looking at getting a transplant meniscus in the next 5-6 years.  But the Dr. told me that I can lift.  But I cannot run or do anything that puts impact pressure on my knee.  He said no squats, but I hope to be back in the gym in a couple of weeks and get started on rehab and then get to legs.  I am really anxious to get back in the mix.  I am changing my life for the better.
