My gym sucks donkey…..
I work out at a fitness club that is connected to a dayspa type place. Last night I get all pumped up, ready to lift, took extra NO-Xplode, and was ready to squat till I puked or soiled myself. I get there-they closed because the weather was "supposed" to get bad. It had not. So I’m all jacked up with nowhere to go. I usually like the fact that its a quieter gym, not a lot of hardcore people there, even though it makes it difficult when you have to have a 98lbs, 16 year old girl spot you when your dropping the big numbers. But this might be the straw that broke the camel’s back. I may have to go back to the YMCA and have guys give me the stink eye, watch me lift, and ask me how much I do or what I’m on. Damn it. I’m just waiting for someone to whip it out and slap it in on the table for comparison at that place. Good thing I’d win

I hear what you’re saying. I got out of lifting at big public gyms for that reason. Too many posers and not enough work to back it up. On a side note, how does the NOexplode work for you? I’d like to try it but am getting mixed reviews. I’m a little older, so I don’t wanna drop a lot of money into something if it isn’t gonna give me results. Thanks and best of luck with your gym situation.

Yeah, it sucks. I don’t like that I lift at 24 Hour, but I am glad to go to the oldest one in CO that still has it’s good ‘ol iron plates (not the rubberized hexagons), chain drive machines, etc. and more of the members there are middle aged or older, except for the few high school kids that come in the evenings. Not as big, no pool, etc. so I can get in, get my workout, and leave with minimal BS and usually not waiting for a machine long at all. Hope somethin works out for ya soon.

Oh that sucks… but overall your gym sounds nice. Waaaay better than my 24-hour place that’s full of muscle heads wearing sideways caps and chicks talking on their cell phones.
