Squat
Wow did my squat suck ass yesterday. I hadn’t done legs since football started (about 5 weeks). Well when I threw on 405 for my last set of squats I only sqeezed out two. I felt better after rounding out with some lunges, leg extension, calf raises, and abs, but usually I feel good about my squats. I guess they can’t all be winners, but that is a HUGE loss. I usually have no problem doing five or six really good ones, and I figured that with all my football stuff I wouldn’t have lost that much. I was wrong, and my ego suffered the consequences.

Boy do I know that feeling. I played hockey for about 8 years before having to take my senior year and the year after off (no varsity because of that), then those 2 years turned into five…When I started lifting again I couldn’t even do the sled weight on the leg press. Talk about a blow to the ego! My point is, keep working consistently and you’ll get back up there!
