Alcohol... Oh alcohol.
Do you drink? Do you see a difference when you do or don't drink? What are your thoughts? I've been going out every weekend for...ever. Even at my fittest I was drinkin' every weekend. And I'm gonna be honest, it's liquor. Vodka and whiskey. Do I need to say goodbye? Go on, be honest...
I seem to retain a ton of water if I've only had a drink or two, but vodka seems to make less of a difference. Overall, I drag my a** the next day, so I keep the drinking to a rare occasion.
i really dont see that much of a difference. but when i do drink, i only have about three drinks in the entire three hour span that im out. i stay away from beer though. but the liqour i dont have a issue with..
Okay, I'll be honest: Alcohol - not good!! I love Scotch, and I've made an experiment for the last four weeks - no alcohol. Result: to be fit - cut the booze!
You don't look like it is affecting you negatively. Speaking of which, I also don't think you need to lose 7 lbs if your pictures are current.
I quit imbibing 2.5 years ago and it made a very positive impact in my life. I don't want to preach, but Alcohol is likely as great a killer as ciggies and really there are much better things you could do with your time. Be Sober!
I would agree. There are a lot of articles on bb.com explaining the down side of alcohol while trying to maintain a fit lifestyle. I still enjoy a few drinks every now and then. If you plan on working out the day after a night of drinking, your work out (and you) will suffer. I tried that once and it didn't work...just my .02 cents!
Since I cut down on the drink... results come faster, and I feel much better in general. Don't really enjoy drinking anymore, can go out and have fun without it.
Agree with DNR,
I drink every so often! But I bet there are a ton of people out there that can tell you the benefits of a glass of wine or the lack there of it also! I just try to keep balance, and make sure I don't over do it!

there is a big difference, every time i deploy we get the no alcohol rule. I still hit the gym as much as i do when not deployed and get results faster, so i guess i should stop drinking all together.
I don't just have a few drinks though I have...too many!!!! Things get a little crazy. I lose count
I don't drink. Period. Aside from the fact that I am allergic and personally abhor the taste of alcohol, its really just a waste of calories and sugar that causes you to bloat, retain extra water, and cause your system to not run at its best.
If you really want to dedicate yourself to some amazing results, kick the alcohol, especially if you are self-professing drinking too many, and losing count. Thats really not a healthy habit regardless of your fitness goals, right?
Sounds like you already know the answer to your own question...? I mean, if you're imbibing to the point of severe intoxication... it's probably a good idea to cut back, even if you aren't worried about losing fat, etc.
Realistically, like jsump said, a glass of wine is actually good for you. But drink the whole bottle... and you're gonna pay consequences.
