Morning gym-goers How do you do it?
Okay so I go to the gym everyday after work usually around 5:30 or so. I have been getting there later and later due to my never ending work schedule, and I noticed that I really try to talk myself out of going the later it gets. I really want to go in the morning, incase I dont make it at night, but My dilema is that I am the worst morning person ever!!! I have tried to get up, I set my alarm for 5:45 am, and somehow in the midst of the night my alarm clock changes back to my usual wakeup time of 8:45am (yeah I get to sleep in to most people lol). Im just clueless on how this happens! Just kidding I know its me lol Anyway What can I do to get up and to be motivated to go at such an early time!?I know so many people go in the morning why cant I make myself go? I need help

One of two things are gonna get you up, disipline, or motivation. Doing something consistently will help set in the disipline, motivation is just motivation. You’ll find me at the Semper Fit here in Hawaii at 0430 at least 3 days a week. I do cardio in the morning and I gotta be honest with ya’, I sometimes am on the machine foe 10 to 15min. before I’m fully awake. Having everything set up so that you can just get up and walk out helps. When I was in college I put up a picture of myself at my fattest as my screen saver, that motivated me every morning. I use music now, I put something on that gets the blood boiling. If you don’t have the disipline, stir up some motivation, if you aren’t feeling disiplined, vice versa. Good luck.

Move your alarm clock away from your bed. I go in the morning because there aren’t that many people! I love when its not crowded and I also try to talk myself out of it! Just think it you went in the morning you would be home sooner at night to relax! It will eventually become a habit!

Moving your alarm away from your bed works! Plus, I plan EVERYTHING (food, clothes) from the night before. It makes it SO much easier.
You can do it…plus, dreaming of the body you want always helps too
.
Good luck!

I agree with Sandi, I pack my gym bag the night before and put it next to the front door.
