Rant of the week…

Ok, so yes, I have lost 45 lbs!  WOW! Great! Amazing!  I love and appreciate everyone’s kind words…everyone including, the members of this website, my family and close friends…but when you see people that you have not seen in a while and they come up to you and say…"you’ve lost a lot of weight" BEFORE even saying "hi" or "how are you?" "what’s new?"….WTF is that about???  Since when did ‘you’ve lost weight" become a greeting?  Losing that much weight is an emotional thing and maybe I shouldn’t feel this way but I just dont like it!

Thanks for reading the rant of the week…LOL!

I hate to say it, but get used to it. I’ve lost about the same amount and it seems that it’s the standard greeting.

I find that it’s usually the people who are also trying to lose weight. If they can’t do it, they seem surprised anyone else can.

Keep up the great work- you’re looking amazing!!!

i got the exact opposite when i went back to Canada after 9 months away, no one said boo. I was like WFT, doesnt anyone notice my change in shape? Then I started doubting myself…

hmmm…what you learn is how shallow some people really are…only seeing what’s on the outside! That rubs me wrong too! lol

But congrats on the weight loss!! I was once 100lbs heavier so I know just how emotional the transition is…stay strong and focused and dont let some of the shallowness get you down!

Way to go! You look fantastic! Some people just do not know how talk about a change in another’s life. If you feel the difference, that is what is most important.

1st, congrats! Your hard work definitely shows!

2nd, think of it this way - would you prefer "Hey, you’ve GAINED a lot of weight!" as a greeting?
