Show is over back to the drawing board

Good morning and happy Monday!!

I hope your weekend was blessed!

Well I have finished my first show for the year and I can say it was one of the most interesting shows I have competed in.  I placed 5th.  I wasn’t mad about my placing; just puzzled; puzzled by my placing and placing of other competitors in other catagories.

I really have no idea what the judges were "looking" for in this show.  I question the fact that you have a figure category and all of the judges were body building competitors and the one judge competed in a figure show doesn’t even have her pro card?!  I respect judges and their decisions however I have more respect for judges when they have EARNED the right to be a judge.  Again it was an interesting show.  I’m not discouraged nor frustrated however if I compete in that particular show next it will strictly be my prep show to get the jitters out.

As of right now I am trying to decide whether or not I am going to compete in June or wait until August.  If I compete in June I have 6 weeks to change my body and reduce my body fat more.  So we’ll see how I feel.  Thanks for all your support and I’ll post pictures as soon I get them.  Smooches

Hi All,

Hope your encouraged and having a great day thus far…hey if your up and reading this blog that’s something to be grateful for….LIFE!!!

Anywho, thanks for the comments and visiting my page.  I’m leaner today than I was yesterday which is a great thing!!  I’m getting my drink on…Water of course!!  Have my 5 meals packed for the day and final later this evening….Yeah I have a lot on my plate today and for the remainder of the week.

I have gotten my snack foods that I want to eat and have two more things to get and I’m done.  By Friday I just want to do 4 things; hair, airbrush tan, pick up my lemon bars and the best of all CHILL AND PLAY PLAYSTATION 3!!!

Anywho, I’m off to an out of office meeting today…Oh joy!! This should be fun watching everyone eat their carb filled, coffee drinking breakfast…can you hear the sarcasm?  LOL!

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!

I’m alive and blessed!  How are you today?  If you don’t feel quite yourself, be encouraged!!

Well it’s 3 days away…as if you didn’t know that!  I’m here in court waiting for our hearings to begin and I figured what the hell I have some time why not blog.  I can tell the diet is starting to get to me ’cause i’ts harder for me to spell, my brain is in slow motion and my body is like c’mon Megs you can do it.  LOL!  I’m in a great mood considering I’d love to be eating something other than CHICKEN!!  I had a moment of temporary insanity in the gym yesterday….I finished cardio and I go to heat up my food; I took the first bite; I completely forgot where I was and yelled out "I HATE CHICKEN! I’M SICK OF EATING THIS!  WHEN I FINISH I DON’T WANT ANYTHING THAT LOOKS, TASTES, OR SMELLS LIKE CHICKEN!"  After I had my outburst I had a few eyes looking at me like WTF….I didn’t give a damn…only people that have gone through this diet can relate.   I thought it was funny after it was all said.

Anywho, I have confirmed with my mom that she’s bringing me fried fish from my favorite place in Baltimore and a 1/2 lb of SNICKERDOODLES!!  YEA!!!  I have placed my order for my lemon bars, and on Saturday night I’m going to Uno’s to get me a personal deep dish pizza and a glass of Moscato.  One of the trainers in the gym is making me bison chili…yum!! (Thanks Derek)  FYI…I don’t eat all of this stuff at once…my body would go into shock…I do however eat it over the course of a few days….I won’t be falling of a diet anytime soon…I’ll be in the gym on Sunday after the show doing legs and 45 minutes of cardio.  It’s just going to feel good to be able to eat something "normal" for a change and with seasoning!  LOL!!

Oh and don’t think I still won’t have my killer legs and muscles….LOL!!  After all it’s summer and why would I want to lose what I’ve worked so hard for?!  Ya feel me!

Hey hey hey!

Hope your day is going well!!  I have nine days to go and I will be glad when it’s over!!!  The cardio these days is kicking my you know what!! Yesterday I did cardio at 5 am for 30 minutes and then again after my weight training for an hour!!

I don’t have much longer…that’s all I keep telling myself…if this were so easy, everyone would compete right?

Hey Everyone!!!

Hope you’re blessed, happy, and being fit.  Yes the last time I blogged I was 7 weeks out from my show….with work demands, school demans, gym demands, I’m too tired to even check my page….Thank you to everyone who added me as their friend…Sorry I couldn’t respond to each of you personally…

I’m 10 days out and I can’t wait to get this over with….cardio twice a day is kicking my butt….I spend 20+ hours a week in the gym coupled with working 45-50 hours a week with my full time job….oh did I mention I have to study during that time as well??  LOL!!!  I have no idead how I am able to do it….Any who I’ve added some progress pictures…hope you enjoy!!

 

7 weeks out!

Hey Everyone!

Hope you are doing well!  I know it’s been a minute since I’ve blogged.  I have been so busy it’s hard for me to blog regularly.  Well as you see from my title, I am 7 weeks out from show (5/2/09).  I can say that I am lot leaner at 7 weeks this time around than I have been for shows in the past. 

I’ve dropped some weight which is exciting.  I would love to come in a lot lighter in weight.  One advantage I have is that I look smaller than what I really weigh.  I’ll be honest I would love to be 135 lbs for this show.  I have been taking the cardio up a notch with h.i.i.t. 2 times a day.  I’m hoping this will help my legs get more shredded.  I know a lot of the conditioning comes over time….I just wish I could have it now!!

Anywho, I’ll keep you posted with my progress.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Still Prepping

good morning all,

I’m sitting here at work looking at the calendar; and my official diet time is 10 weeks and 6 days to go (yes I have it down to the day).  I’m antsy because I didn’t realize this show is a pro qualifier show until this morning when I looked at the entry form and the person who wins their class gets their pro card.  Ohhh how I would love to get my pro card.  In pro qualifier shows the competition tends to be very tough….but as always I am up for the challenge. 

Next month I change up my diet, I stop taking one of my supplements, and I begin carb cycling.  I’m anxious to see how much my body changes with the cardio 2x a day sometimes 3x a day, diet, and my workout regime.  I have to get lean.  I will take some pictures by the weekend and upload them so you can see the progress.  My goals is to take pictures weekly so I can see the difference.  Wish me luck.  I’m hungry for this and I want to win!!!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend and good Valentine’s Day.  I had an extra day off and I’m still worn out!  I have begun incorporating 2x a day and let me tell you it isn’t easy!!  My body is physically tired.  This the first time I have in a long while that I have done this.  I sleep like a baby now!  I know that over the next 12 weeks this will make significant improvement on my body.  Sometimes I wish I could just take the blue pill and get into contest shape. 

I know it’s only wishful thinking, and I have to keep repeating my mantra to myself, "If this were easy, everyone would compete."  I think it gets harder on the days I’m extra tired but I still keep pushing no matter what.  Right now I go to the gym 6 days a week and do cardio 7 days a week.  Coupled with school studying, and work God only knows how I manage to get this stuff done.

Let me go, I’m at work it’s 1:15 and I’m going running at 1:45 and by the time I get back into the office it will be time for me to eat my meal with carbs!!  Yea!!!  Smooches!
