IN VEGAS BABY FOR FITNESS AMERICA

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

As I type this blog, I am excited because prejudging is over.  I had such a good time on that stage yesterday.  I honestly feel like Yorton Cup show was harder than this show.  I look at every show as gaining on the job training.  I feel like if I can’t have fun while out there then it’s time for me to stop competing.

Finals are this evening, there are 13 in my class. I hoping I placed in the top 10.  I want to win every show I’m in but as I said in my last blog, as long as I keep looking better and better, those are milestones for me.  My long term goal is to keep my weight around 145-150 and then compete at 135 or less.  I’ll keep you posted with an update for my placing in the finals this evening!

YORTON CUP IS OVER; ON TO VEGAS THIS WEEK BABY!!

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Ok, so here’s the update from the show this past weekend.  I placed 5th in Yorton Cup Nationals.  Would I have liked to place higherof course…who doesn’t?  However when I look at the overall picture, I did the following:

1. My body looked better than the previous year;

2. I was tighter and leaner;

3. My posing was on point;

4. My back has made significant progress and;

5. Last year I didn’t even place in the top 5.

So with those accomplishments I can’t complain.  All I can say is what do I have to be sad about when I have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time.  I have decided for my 2010 competition year if God sees fit, I’m healthy and no injuries, I am only competing in shows that I am able to obtain my pro card.  Yes those shows will be harder however I have to continue to raise the bar if I want to be taken seriously in this sport.  I don’t need any more prep shows at this point.  All I need is time to condition my body the way I want.  I haven’t looked at the 2010 contest season yet.

I look forward to getting this on and crackin’!  As I stated on my home page under contests, "THEY CAN’T KEEP DENYING ME MY PRO CARD FOREVER".
