Adkins diet… Please tell me Im dreaming. Pretty Funny!

I work at this Mexican Restaurant here in Orlando, which lets say doesn’t attract the most brightest or health savvy people. Last week I was working when happy hour was going on and I had a table pull me over, first of all keep in mind they have had three rounds of frozen margaritas. They ask me " Hey would it be ok if we ordered some queso cheese?" I said sure Ill bring you some chips with that as well ladies. They respond " Ohhhhhhhh nooooooooo nooooo we will take some celery stalks to dip in the cheese we both are on the Adkins Diet." I swear to you I almost lost it I wanted to laugh soo bad. This just shows how ignorant people are when it comes to truly living healthy. So let me get this straight… 3 Margaritas no prob, greasy bacon check, a 10 gallon bowl of eggs sign me up, a huge bowl of creamy nasty cheese delicious, but tortilla chips god forbid!!!!!

Try this… ( I have just consumed this easy peezy deliciously naughty but completely clean treat as I am typing this)

What you will need…

1 Box of sugar free-fat free Jell-o pudding

8oz Tub of fat free or light creame cheese

Almond shavings or just chop a 2 handfuls up

3 scoops of vanilla  whey protien powder

Make the pudding as directed on the box ( I use butterscotch b/c the end result tastes just like Dulce de leche cheesecake)

In a seperate bowl combine cream cheese,  protien, and almonds together to make a paste like gooey mess.

Now b/c I am crazy busy and such I use little 4 oz tupperware cups and fill half up with the cream cheese base and then the rest with the butterscotch pudding. Put them in the fridge and they are perfect to take with you or for when you are craving ice cream or anything sweet for that matter. You have to try this its soooooooo easy!!! You will thank me.

No loss in 3 weeks…. What do I do?

I havent lossed an inch in 3 weeks.  I think I have hit a plateau. So should I up my cardio and reduce my calories? I dont know what my options are. My diet is still clean and Im still working just as hard in the gym just not as much results. I still have a good amount of fat to loose so this is a 10 on the annoyance scale.

Taking a week off. I hope this is the right thing to do… :(

Well, Ive been at it hardcore for 9 wks now without a break and Ive seen major changes. Everyone has advised me that you should take a break once every 8 wks or so depending on how you see fit. On Sunday night I somehow came down with a really bad sinus infection. I tried to go to the gym on Monday and left 10 minutes after i got there b/c I thought I was going to pass out. Rested yesterday and then gave it another shot today. To my distress I did finish legs but used less weight less reps and had to stop for 2 minutes in between sets to rest b/c I was so weak. So Instead of pushing myself to either an injury or just never getting better Im going to take the rest of the week off. Im not happy about it at all. But last week I was talking to one of the girls in our gym who is going to be in her pro debut in two weeks at the Europa here in Orlando, and she told me that one of the hardest things to do in reguarding your fitness goals is not to be stupid and give yourself advice as if you were giving it to another person in your same situation. And I thought about this and its soo true. I would tell that person to take a week off, dont worry about anything and get better. You should never tell someone to do something that you wouldnt do yourself. So on that note I will be resuming my bustin ass gym routine doing week 9 over on the 13th of this month. Im trying to keep it positive but im feeling really down about it. :( This sucks!

10.5 ” in 8 wks…??? I need to know a few things.

So I have lost 10.5 inches since Feb 1st.  Thats a good thing right? I guess Im getting to the middle of my change and i need a little bit of assurance that change will come. Also, is it just me or is belly fat always the last to come off?  Please give some much needed advice!

Ok so everyone knows the reality of eating healthy. If I had all the time in the world and expence to no end I would be browsing the aisles of Whole Foods and in the backyard sipping crystle light and growing my own veggies. This unfortunately would never ever be even a close comparison of my life and Im sure yours. Im a George Foreman believer and If it wasn’t for steam in the bag veggies I would be screwed. So Im always looking for ways to cook things I have on a daily basis. Not this Rachael Ray BullSh*t, serious lean machine food I can actually do in a timely matter. Well I got tired of eating plain turkey burgers so I cooked two on the GF grill put two tbsp of speghetti sauce on top and some parmesan cheese on top. WHAT!! It was actually really good. Steamed up some asparagus and it was a truley wonderful meal. So Im asking all of you now. Do you have any tasty secrets you are holding? Just simple ways to shake it up a little. Well let me know.

So my grandma came to visit and stayed here, which meant sweets, huge dinners, and crazy bad mistakes on my part. Luckily I only had about two days of a bad diet. So not that bad, plus I was sick with a chest cold so chicken didnt look so appetizing. Anyway well Im back on track now. Off to the gym now to do some major cardio, chest and bi’s. Not feeling so hot so we will see how it goes.

Can someone pinch me plz… Oh wait thats what I just did LOL…. Read ON!!

Im just going to say it now 7.5 inches in February! I dont know if thats a feat but thats enough for me. So here are the complete stats:

Weight: Start 187 Current 184.5

Chest: Start 39.5 Current 37

Arms: Start 13 Current 12

Hips: Start 42 Current 39.5

Waist: Start 32 Current 30.5

Thighs: Start 24 Current 24.5 This is a good gain, My legs were muscular to begin with my hamstrings and getting bigger!!

So that sums up my month. I am sooo excited!!! My long term goal is June 1st. I plan on taking profesional pictures and hopefully starting a career in the fitness industry!!! Its a long road in front of me but this month shows great progress. For some reason I had such a hard time doing this before but now I guess timing is everything. Thanks to all my friends at the gym and on bodyspace for all the great advice and support.

I need advice on supplements…….

OK heres the deal right now all I am taking is my multivitamin, glutamine, and somethimes protien shakes if I cant fit whats nessesary in my day Ill down one. Now… Im a pretty natural person, with that being said I really dont want a whole trunkful of bottles, powders, and pills. But I feel like maybe I can get better results if I added some supplements into my weight training. Any suggestions????? Thanks yall’ Oh yeah it was a beautiful day today in sunny FLA…. Jealous?
