And I’m really excited about it. (Hey, it’s the little things ) I’ve heard so many good things about the taste of this product and I think I remember someone saying they bake with the stuff, protein loaves or something lol. I don’t know, but it will be a welcome change from my cookies n cream (I chose the fresh cinnamon roll) and once I taste it, which given my excitement will probably be tonight if not first thing in the morning, I’ll be sure to do a review on it and post it on my page.
Today was really good. I worked out right before my 3:30 class. The gym is still crowded. I guess those New Yearers are hanging on. I did shoulders/tris/chest and abs, and I even managed to squeeze it 15 minutes on the treadmill for good measure.
Tomorrow I’m getting my hair done at 8:45 am (That’s what I get for waiting until the last minute to make an appointment) so I think I’m gonna try and get my workout done before I go, although I’ve yet to get myself up at that time, but just maybe I’ll get to bed before dawn tonight. I need to cut it. I wanna cut it, but I’m a little chicken. We’ll see what happens. If I do chop it off, I’ll make sure I put up some new pics. Night everyone.

So I’m just getting home from a busy day, I make me a lil salmon, veggie, brown rice blend (I eat almost every meal in a bowl, it just tastes better that way lol.), and I log on to bb.com and low and behold I now have 100 friends! I know some of you have thousands so my little feat pales in comparison, but I think all milestones should be celebrated. And so I would like to extend a debt of gratitude to all the people I have met on this website thus far. Y’all have inspired me, kept me on my toes, and have lended your ears when I go on one of my tangents. This place really does feel like a community and I’m happy to have my small part in it. (Here’s where the ‘get off the stage music would come in’ lol)
In other news, I had a good cardio workout today. I did 30 minutes on the eliptical and 30 on the treadmill. It started out a little slow, but I got in my groove about midway through. Something about that darn treadmill and a hot Jay-Z number that gets me going. I also was able to fight off a fast food temptation. I wanted some chicken tenders so badly, (Raising Canes people is the business) but I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and booked it home to clean eating. It’s starting to get easier now. A lovely day indeed. I hope yours was too.

So even though it had been over a month, I didn’t want to post new pics. My diet has been atrocious. My workouts have been lack luster at best and I haven’t been sleeping so surely no repair/recovery has taken place. I figured there was no point in posting photos in the progress section if I was in fact regressing.
However, my favorite bb.com friend was persistent and because I’m a push over, I yielded lol. And what do ya know, they’re not half bad. In fact, things are looking better than they were a month ago. Just think what a month of clean eating could do?

and I’ve finally come to the conclusion that if I want to be rockin’ by the Arnold I can’t keep allowing myself to cheat here and there. I can’t eat half a pizza and run it off the next day like I could a few years ago. There were noticeable improvments, my legs are starting to take shape (finally) but, as much as I work out, I should be much further along than I am and I know the thing that’s stopping me is not eating clean.
And so, I’m going to be posting my diet on bb.com for the next two weeks in order to keep myself accountable as well as have the community critique it. And, on my honor I will post every food that enters my mouth, even if I have a nervous break down and head for krispy kreme lol.
In other news, I bought a new cardio dvd today. It’s made by Women’s Health and I think it will be a nice addition to my collection. I looked for P90X on ebay, but no one was selling individul dvds, only the set. Oh, and I bought a new water bottle witih a straw. I’m so excited! I’m currently sipping on the peach tea crystal light. Y’all should check it out. I skipped the gym today in favor of tomorrow because my body was telling me it needed to rest. I’ll probably do my cardo dvd this evening though. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Today is one of those days. I’m trying to be positive, but dang it, it just seems like today was designed specifically to get on my nerves. So I’m in grad school, which means I’m a TA, which means I deal with students. Well, the course I have now has over 400 students in it, and apparently half of them either cannot read, or have decided that I am suppose to do it for them. Who emails their TA at 1 o’clock in the morning to ask what is going to be on the test the next day? And then ever so nicely asks me to email them back asap. Cuz heaven forbid I sleep right? The professor emailed them 3 days ago to tell them what would be on it. Then I go into the office and there’s all kinds of issues with the class website. Oh, and that was after waking up late to begin with. I working on my thesis and my committee has not gotten back to me about meeting to approve my proposal. My legs are sore from yesterday so sitting and walking is a problem. (I don’t really mind that though, I know I worked hard yesterday) And if one more of my favorite competitors drops out of the Arnold I’m gonna scream.
Okay. I’m done. lol. Just a few more hours and I can be pounding away at the treadmill and I’ll feel so much better. Y’all are such good listeners
