MuscleTech Transformation Contest 2009

2 January 2009

Happy New Year everyone!!!

I started the New Year with the MuscleTech Transformation Contest to try to shed a few pounds and a few layers of fat that I’ve gained throughout the Christmas.  I would post my pictures here, but they are on my profile and on the contest forum thread (the link will take you to my pictures).

Today was day one and I started taking some MT product that I have left over from before while I wait for my order to arrive.  I actually order the same products that I already have.  I’m starting with Cell-Tech, Nitro-Tech and Hydroxicut Hardcore.  I’m thinking about trying Nano-Vapor and Halo after I’m done with the Cell-Tech and Nitro-Tech since I’ve heard good things about them.  For now I’, just sticking with what I know it works for me even though my stomach is not agreeing with it already.  It’ll take me a week to get use to taking supplements again and be back to normal.

I went to the Gym around noon today to do cardio and it was horrible.  I did 2 miles in 00:24:34 and ride a stationary bike for about 15 minutes.  Tonight I’m going to start with shoulders and traps.

Stay posted, more to come.  I’ll try to do one of these at least once a week with what I’ve done.

Good luck to everyone that has signed up and train hard.

Transformation 2009

29 December 2008

Well, I have to start by saying that I’ve been really lazy and I hope to be able to change that starting the new year.  I just found out that MuscleTech is having another competition starting on the 1st and I’m going to give it a try for the second time.

Here is what been going on lately in my life:

  1. I finished the class that I was taking with a 4.0.
  2. Work was a bit bussy but now things have calmed down.
  3. I’m taking two classes for the Spring semester starting one on Jan 15 and the other sometime in Feb.
  4. I’ve been having problems with my neck because of the gear that I have to use for work.  I hope that this does not stop me from working out in 2009.  I have an appointment with an Orthosurgeon on Jan 6.  More to come on this.
  5. I just won a video making contest in YouTube. Click here to see my video.

My goals are:

  1. Better time management with family, school, work and workouts
  2. Transform my body to better my self.  Win the competition would be nice too…
  3. To try to post a weekly update on what is going on throughout the MT 50K competition

The only thing that could possibly stop me from achieving goal #2 from above will be the results on what is going to happen with my neck.  I’m hoping no surgery and no needle being stuck on my neck.  Those are my two biggest fears in life.

I wish everyone a Happy New Year and success in your body transformation in 2009!

End of September Update

30 September 2008

It is pretty sad that I slacked for the last 3 weeks.  In part was lack of motivation and in part was the amount of work that I’ve gotten in the past few weeks at work.  As far of diet, it went down the drain in those three weeks.  I did maintained my weight, maybe gained a pound or two.

Today I started my routine again with fewer sets and some cardio just to get my feet wet again.  Will see in a month how my progress goes.  Because I didn’t do anything in three week, my strenght and stamina declined.  I also stopped taking my supplements in those three weeks, but I started again today.  Sorry, not update picutres yet.

Will be writing again soon!

Aug - Sept Update

11 September 2008

It’s been a rough month trying to keep up with work, school and the gym.  Somehow, I’ve been able to manage it.  On Aug 23rd, I was out hiking up the mountains and I had an aproximate 20 fall.  It hurt for at least two week but luckily I did not get injured.  That kept me from being able to run for a while.  Now, almost three weeks later I’m starting to pick up the running and it is ugly.

As far of my workout goes, it is starting to be a little more consistent and I’m starting to build some definition.  It is about time.  The biggest part of it has been patience and not giving up.  There are many times that I came home tired from work and I just had to push myself to get out the door.  My nutrition has not been the greatest but I’m definitely not eating any junk food.  I have maintained my weight between 188 and 195.  Every morning I eat either oat meal or eggs.  For lunch I try to have at least a salad, fruits and whatever I can find that it not junk.  Dinner is usually my heaviest meal whether is past, rice, some kind of meat and salad.  I’m not big on counting calories, fat grams and all that crap.  I just try to eat as healthy as I can to be able to maintain my weight and put some definition on my body.  I also eat some snacks throughout the day such as peanut or nutrigrain bars.

I’m still taking the MuscleTech supplements.  I added Hydroxycut Hardcore on the 28th of August and so far it is helping.  My intention with Hydroxycut is to finish the 210 gel bottle that I got and see what happens after that.  I’m still taking the Cell Tech which it has helped me in getting my definition and also more energy when I go to the gym.  The Nitro Tech, well, I’m still sitting on the first bottle.  I’m not very good at taking it, especially when the instructions says to take it 30 after workout for best results and my workouts ends a little late at night, so by the time that I’m supposed to take it, my mind is my dreams. I’ll try to keep on posting updates at least once a month in here from now on.  I think that I maybe will post some updated picture to my profile next month.  Will see how happy I’m with how they look.

I hope everyone had a great summer showing off those transformations and good luck to all!

My first post in BodyBlog

14 August 2008

Well, not sure what all to say here but I guess I’ll start somewhere.

First of all, I finished the MT50000 for 2008 and I think that it was a success.  I definetly learned about the areas that I need to improve for a better physique.  After completing the contest, I had about a month of down time on the weights.  I had my daughter visiting for two weeks and the other two weeks I spent them at a cadet encampment for Civil Air Patrol.

While I was at the encampment I maintained my weight and physique by running and doing calistenics.  Today, I finally got to hit the gym again.  You can see my workout in my workout tracker.  It was a little weak compared to a month ago, but I did not loss too much.  Now is time to pick it back up and continue improving.

Good luck to everyone that competed in MT50000 and keep on working hard!

Cheers!
