Getting Ready!

So I started my stack today, taking lots of protein in various forms, as well as some other supplements to aid in the bulking process and all in all I think I have got that area under control and scheduled out the way I want and in a manner that fits my life schedule.  I’m trying to consume at least 215g of protein a day while I am hitting the weights as hard as I can and still doing a fair bit of cardio, but its a delicate balance I have found out of lifting and not doing TOO much cardio.

So I went to the gym today with the mindset of learning my limits for the weights I will be lifting and the exercises I will be doing.  I kind of wanted to learn what was too much and what was not enough for the coming weeks.  As far as a workout I had just planned on folloing the 12 week transformation guide on the site with a few things thrown in here and there.  My weak point is my upper body strength as I never really trained or worked it that much, I was always the running type and now I want to be the total body type :)   so once again NEW ME HERE I COME!!!

BTW did I mention that I’m pysched about posting a picture of my weight on Monday….WHOOHOO

SO CLOSE TO MY SHORT TERM GOAL WEIGHT!!!!!!

So as you can tell by my weight tracker and info that one of my short term goals was to be at 210 or under by my birthday (May 25th, this coming Monday also Memorial Day).  Well so far I am almost there, and you all don’t know how long since I have seen a 210.XX figure show up on my scale….years….YEARS.  I can’t let myself get too excited until Monday morning when I weigh (I weigh every morning after getting up) and the result is final.

So I went to the gym yesterday to test out how well my left hip was feeling with some light cardio and whatnot.  I ended up using an elliptical for 30 minutes on an incline of 12 and a resistance of 16 and achieved an average HR of about 178 for a good 25 minutes.  I then moved to a treadmill for another 35 minutes but nothing major, more of a low intensity cardio only walking at about a 3.0 speed on an incline of 13.  I did stay at an average of 151 for the 35 minutes though.  I did a small amount of stretching afterwards and then headed home

I didn’t eat too bad last night my wife and I cooked chicked on the stove with a hawaian sauce a small amount of instant mashed potatoes and a healthy portion of green beans, all in all it was a very low sodium meal for the most part and I was starving.

My food for the day 05-19-09

So today I didn’t do to well on eating, moreover I guess I didn’t eat enough.  I woke up late in the morning today and it sort of threw me off balance.  I started the day off with a chocolate FiberPlus bar and a 17oz glass of water which I took with my morning pills/vitamins.  I postponed lunch because I was preoccupied with something and ended up not eating till about 5:45 PM and even then I only had about half of a grilled chicken breast on a whole wheat bun with a small amount of mayo and some lettuce from Sonic ( I was in a hurray heading to my little brother’s piano recital).  At about 8:20PM I sat down to dinner and had a medium sized salad with 1Tbps of ranch, red onions, lettuce, about 2 radishes, and a glass of water.

I didn’t get a chance to take my evening vitamins and now at 10:56PM I am slightly hungry and thinking about eating a small meal and taking my pills/vitamins.  I think I can stay up for 2 hours after eating and then go to bed, I will find something to do.
