Swimming prt. 2

Now I just learned that I have to swim a kilometer today. This wouldn’t be that bad, but……it’s raining, and I have to do it in ACUs and boots. I also worked out this morning(PT) and did my weight shit at lunch. Good times. I gotta double up on the calories today.

Swimming

So I just learned how to swim like 2 weeks ago. It took me like 10 days. My swim instructor is former Army so he is extra hard on me, and treats the other folks like civies. I love it. Yesterday I swam like 1.5ks. That sucked. I almost drowned. I guess I’m trying to go to fast. You gotta crawl before you can walk or run. I tired to dead sprint.

Something new for me.

I’m going to try something new today. I going to the gym in about 30 minutes. I want to mix up my workout so this is what I’m going to do: Hour to Hour and a half - 15 minutes of bi/tri supersets; rest for like 3 minutes; 15 minutes chest/back supersets; rest for like 3 minutes; 15 minutes legs/shoulders, then abs/lower back for like 10; no rest during the supersets at all, 15 minutes of strecthing. Then after work go for a quick 3/4 mile interval run home.

A friend of mine has been doing a workout like this twice a week, Mondays and Wendesday, big and fast as ****. Not as fast as me though, but bigger.

Weight gain.

I just can’t seem to gain as much as I think I should be. I think it is the whole fast metabolism thing. Before I started to work out I was 5′10", 149lbs with 10lbs in my pants and soaking wet. I ate junk food, played videogames, was lazy. Didn’t gain an ounce. I started in June of 2006 and gained like 30lbs in the span of 4 months. All muscle. My body fat has never been over 9%. Then I went to this school in April of 2007, lost 15lbs, because of training, now I can’t get it back. But I make hugh gains in strength and better run times.

I guess I can live with the trade off for now.

Miss used

Okay, I got some comments about my Max bench press chart on this thing. Let me say this - My 1 Rep Max is 475-480 on a bad day. When I use that stupid body stat thing, I just enter what weight I worked out with and how many reps I did. It is not a good gauge for an actual 1 Rep max, since I can left like 270 maybe 8-10 times, and it calculates to a 1 rep max of about 320-330 or something. My numbers here aren’t exact. Anyway, I think that is kind of off, and maybe I’m just using the tracker the wrong way, but for ****’s sake, leave me alone. I don’t care if you don’t think I can go from a 1RM of 310 to 360 in 2 days. It’s just a representation of what I’m working out with for those couple of days.

Wow that was rambling.
