any advice for traps???

im trying to get really good shoulders.. especially traps.

 i do 4 sets of ten w/ 375lbs on shrugs, but…. i dunno how much variation i should put into this muscle group. any advice on moves would be apprciated.

been a long time since my knee injury. im finally gonna start lifting with my legs again. ive been worried sooo much about how my knee was gonna hold up. it still gives out every once in awhile when i run, but i think its improved so… wish me luck.

strongman competition

well it was today. it was hard sittin it out (refer to last post if you dont know why i had to sit it out) but i was able to watch a few events before i had to leave. i hate crutches! well tomorrows a new week gonna lift real hard but for omly one day per bodypart. my body needs a little rest. hopefully my knee heals up shortly.

im pretty sure im out of the strongman comp tomorrow. i was playing football and got tackled and landed wromg. the docs think i may have torn my ACL. there is no measure for how mad i am right now. i barely ever get injured and for this to happen the day before my first competition… i hope theyre wrong.

another day… again

well today was good. ive been goin easy for the past two days. i dont wanna be sore for the strongman competition on sunday. ive noticed that my arms are getting bigger as well as my chest. which is good. but my strength hasnt been going up (due to overtraining of course) so next week i will only work each bodypart once. itll be tuff. i hate takin time away from lifting. it makes me feel like im slackin off. oh well

well i do believe im overtraining. no doubt about it. ive been working each body part 2 times a week for as long as ive been lifting. its finally bitten me in the ass. next week ill work each bodypart only once in the week and ill see how that goes. im tired of no gains (relatively).

im entering my first competition on sunday, and we had a practice today and i did very well. im hoping i do as well in the actual competition. free food!!! lol. anyways wish me luck.

motivation

i was at the gym yesterday doing back and arms. guy walks in and throws 405 on the bech press. does it for a set of 5. there i stood with my jaw touching the floor. then i realized that i was looking at something i will accomplish, that i must accomplish. after all i cant just let somebody show me up like that right? lol.

im skipping todays workout because my legs are still sore. bad idea to work out when sore from a previous workout. so tomorrow is chest, shoulders and tris. gonna work my way slowly but surely to 405!

intensity is key!

another leg day. swapped in squats for leg presses but other than that the routine was the same as on wednsday. all in all id say the week went pretty well. my body is tired like i hoped it would be. maybe when i come back from rest my plateau will be no more. i will know if the week was a success for sure on monday.
