A Trainer to Trainee special moment…
Monday, October 29th, 2007So I moved this weekend, which puts me 25 minutes from my trainer and 20 minutes from my other gym. It will make show season just a bit tougher, but oh well, I guess the house will just be a stopping point during show season anyways. I am going to buy myself a big ass cooler and pack all my food in it for everything I need. Then I can just stay at mom and dad’s if the weather gets bad and the roads are tough. I am going to be at the gym super early in the morning and probably late at night anway…
So while we were moving this weekend, I shared a special moment with my trainer, Terry. He was helping me move and all the guys were bringing a heavy couch down the stairs. Well I was under it trying to jimmy it out the door because it didn’t fit. My dad was at the top and Terry was on the side. Dad asked me "R U ok down there," Terry just looked at me and smiled, but in his eyes there was something that could only be described as pride. He knew I was fine down there because he has trained me to be so strong. I looked at him and our eyes met and he knew I knew what he was thinking. That look of pride stayed with me all day yesterday - that’s what I work so hard for… to get that look and feeling from myself and the people around me. It was pretty damn cool.
